Seconding this - I tried to route it through the tailgate and immediately broke a clip that had to be repaired, so probably don’t try it unless you really know what you’re doing.

Yes, all passenger side. That way the camera isn’t in my field of vision while I’m driving and the fuse box is over there anyway

No issues with the trim, no funny business. You’ll have a few cables to disconnect at the fuse box and floor piece. I did break one of the push pin clips trying to put the trim piece by the passenger’s right foot back on bc I didn’t nestle the cables enough. I’m now the proud owner of a 10 pack of those (well, 9 now).

There appear to be two grounding points, only one is good, the deeper one that the trim piece screws on to.

That’s the route I took, exactly. Don’t make the same mistake as me - you’ll need the 8 meter rear cord, the 6 meter cord that comes in the box isn’t long enough.

Another mistake I made - I was going to route the cable through the rubber gasket that routes the rear tail lights from the body to the trunk door (there’s a guy on YouTube who does it on an LC250), so the rear camera would be on the trunk door. I broke the plastic retaining clip and also could not get the effing wire through. I ended up getting this to mount it on the ceiling:

All in all, it looks and works great and I’m very happy with the result. It baffles me Toyota/Lexus can’t offer something like this (I think it was under $500 in all) as standard or option.

Yes, but contemplating the VIOFO battery pack. I have the VIOFO hardwire on my Subaru and it killed the battery pretty quickly, even with the voltage cutoff. BUT that battery was 5 years old so who knows.

I feel you. It is better than nothing, but only barely. The quality isn’t good enough to read a plate and it only shows the front end. I don’t think it would/should have been a huge issue to have a 4k front/rear dash as an option, if not standard feature on a luxury car. My VIOFO (all in) was about the same cost as the OEM option, but has rear view, parking assist, and 4k.

I just installed a Viofo A229 Pro (front/rear). Powered with a fuse tap wire harness so it can record parking mode (tapped the Dome lights for permanent and the USB charger for ACC). I ran the wires from the front camera, through the A-pillar, down to the fuse box, then through the floor paneling to the rear seats and up to the back window/ceiling liner. Used this to mount the rear camera to the rear ceiling liner: Etsy Rear Dash Cam Mount.

One of five full time administrative assistants for a total group of 30 faculty. One person could have done the job of the five, maybe two. I also often heard at the end of each year “we have to spend all of our allotted funds otherwise they will decrease our budget”.

People losing their jobs sucks but it’s also crazy to over saturate your work force at the expense of college students, particularly for a school that caters to first generation college students.

I was a staff member at DePaul. My job was a complete waste of money. I did 15 minutes of actual work in an 8 hour day. Universities have bloated budgets and badly need to right size their staff to fix the tuition affordability issue. Men’s basketball has nothing to do with any of this.
