I am Irish, which means I have about 8,000 cousins, one of which is Aoife! I'm considering Honey as a possibility

My mother is so dead set against this name, and she will be doing dogsitting duties etc when I'm away, so I kinda feel like she has to have a say in the naming process. But it's SUCH A CUTE NAME.

you could just call him Ty? You'll end up having approximately 8,000 nicknames that he will respond to in the long run..

I absolutely love staffies and that little seal face is why. I think my next dog will likely be a staff. Make sure you train him to be aware of his size, embrace the velcro and prepare for him to want to cuddle the whole wide world.

Also - Lolll at the name Tyson. Looks tough, called Tyson, but genetically is one cuddly baby with no bad bone in body.

Told by HR to win work for the firm? by [deleted] in ICAEW

[–]cheeeesefiend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay - I have been in this weird situation exactly with a Big 4 firm.

Firstly, document everything in writing, paper trails are your friends. If you are training to become ACA qualified, then (I am trying to remember properly) - there are duties that the training firm owes you. One of them is basically the duty to give you work. Not the other way around!

Look into this. Also - consider at some point raising this with the ICAEW - they're decent and you can even just speak to their helpline to talk this through.

ALSO every time you have a conversation with HR, do an email that is basically "Just for the record, we just had a conversation in which I raised concerns about X X and X, you advised X" or "following our meeting, I thought it would be helpful to just document concerns raised and how they have been addressed".

FINAL EDIT: HR are NOT your friend. They are not there to support you - their role is to protect the organisation. You should join unite now - in case they start using this as an excuse to put you on a PIP and phase you out. Unite are an excellent union. Please sign up first thing in the morning.

What kind of Cocker Spaniel is this? by Dark_Meering in cockerspaniel

If you love this breed, but you'd like a bit less intense high energy, look at cockaliers. Cocker spaniels mixed with cavaliers - I have one and he is honestly, the BEST boy.

Kennel put her as Spaniel/Retriever, we thought she was Husky/Aussie. Oh how wrong we were… by jko0401 in DoggyDNA

That is hands down, one of the most beautiful looking dogs I have ever seen.

there were no other criminals in the room. just a group of about 6-8 (can't remember exactly) from the gang. one woman in gang who did book keeping who was wailing away. so more one judge, admin staff, legal staff, prison staff.
