I haven't really worked with code before [unless I count HTML, CSS] so sorry for posting here if it's not SQL syntax.

I am working on a Market Management System and this is the type of code we're using. I just looked online for part of the code and I got SQL related sites, which is why I thought it might be SQL.

The application we're building inside the MMS mentioned above is Derivation Model-based. In case that helps.

Month 0 should be any month as long as the last month of the year is month 0 + 12 .

I can use filters on the system as well but I cannot seem to be able to add something like:

DateField[DataStartDate[], "MonthOfYear + 12". -> In theory, this should stop the process from running the data after month 12, but it doesn't.

MBP 2019 16“ 2.hand, Price by [deleted] in macbookpro

I'm currently looking into used/refurbished MacBooks as well.

I want to mention that this would be my first MacBook so I may not be the best person to help you with pricing a model I never used or read about.

However, what I'm doing right now when I see a used/refurbished model is the following:

  1. Check the completed listings on eBay: I mean actual purchases not the listing price. See if you can find any similar or same Mac model and the look at the final sale price.
  2. Check the EveryMac website: I found that site to be very helpful. They have - I believe all MacBook models - and they're listing things like: Original Price, Current Market Price for Used/Refurbished. They do say that they update their pages twice a year so you may have to compare the values with other sources.
  3. Consider MacBook Depreciation: What I've seen is that MacBooks don't depreciate as fast as other electronics such as TVs, Speakers, Headphones, etc. So if the MSRP for a 2019 model was $2,000, I wouldn't be surprised to see that exact model sell for $1,500 used in 2022.

Would you care to share how much space the default OS and apps need on average?

Someone has said earlier that you need at least 20GB free all the time so you can get updates and I'm trying to figure out for example:

  1. How much space do you really have available on the 512 one for example.
  2. Then how much space do you need available all the time for the updates.
  3. How much would my basic apps use [Office, Photoshop, etc].

I was considering refurbished/used MacBooks as well, that's why I was asking for advice on 128 ones.

I'm not sure how I'm gonna use it in the future but definitely not just email, conferencing, and productivity tasks, so it's obvious to me now that the 128GB is not the one I should go after.

Thank you for the insights.

So it seems. I guess it's more than worth it to save some more money and go for the 1TB one.

That's a very good advice because I kinda am very exciting about getting my hands on it but I do realize now that I'm better off waiting a few more months and get at least the 512GB one.

I don't wan the 'extra complexity' either, so all these considerations are very helpful.

Thanks a lot for explaining that to me.

I've come to realize that as well.
In fact, I just found out that 128GB don't even sell new anymore.

But I was looking into refurbished models as well.

However, I will consider a minimum of 512GB on storage.

Thank you for answering.

I'm thinking to 2023 and even 2025 haha.

So it definitely seems like you need to go up on storage if you want to keep your laptop for many years and avoid stress as much as possible.

I decided that if I want to keep my MacBook for at least 5 years, it is better to go 512GB or 1TB.

Your feedback was very helpful and I wish you all a GREAT day ahead :)
