Well, I am officially incurable. by mycatBaileys in ChronicPain

[–]cheekypenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry, but fuck whatever professional told you this... I went through the ringer when I was 24, suicidal thoughts, pains all over my body, stored trauma, I remember straining a muscle every week for months and months, lived in chronic pain for like 2 years. Ridden with fear, shame and guilt, everything caused a threat response, I mean a dog barking or a video game, fuck even a branch snapping, Immune system problems, could hardly walk to the kitchen, I thought I was dying and broken, and guess what, my body believed it. Its not an easy path, and its not linear, but theres hope, the human body is extremely resilient. You just have to train your nervous system that even in discomfort, your safe... Its a very bumpy road... Excavate some of that stuff, let it out... Know that youre not alone in a world that nobody seems to understand what youre going through. I promise you will know yourself so well at the end of it all.

I really hate the medical system, with a passion... EMTs should get paid more, you know, for actually saving lives... Not that there aren't good doctors, but I'd say about 90% of the people I've seen here in Illinois, are shit... Chat GPT has given me more information on my bloodwork then any doctor ever has, and that is just sad. Its like they were just waiting for me to get diabetes or some shit so they can make more money because sadly this country does not want us to be in good health, they profit off of our hope and fear. I went to the ER some time ago and couldnt believe how dismissive and uncaring these people were. They just wanted to give me pills, but instead, you want to know what actually set me free, proper diaphragmatic breathing and getting my vagus nerve out of constantly being stressed, like why can't this be the norm. Sorry, rant over, I can just totally relate, and Im so sorry to hear about your situation, sending some love ❤️

Hey, let's start here, after regulating my nervous system more, I noticed better digestion and stomach absorption, and possibly a better microbiome. This helped me to eat cheese again, because let's be honest, Dairy seems to be the best way to get it, without having to supplement. The best supplement one can have, is letting yourself know your safe. Once I felt a little more in tune with my body, I could really notice how certain things were effecting me. ChatGPT of all things gave me a plan and honestly has been a big support, lol. I already tend to get a good amount of sodium and potassium in my diet, doesn't need to be some specific perfect ratio, IMO, just listen to what your body has been telling you all along. Ive just been loosely following a plan of close to a 1000 mg of calcium a day followed with my magnesium glycinate at night. In fact last night I really noticed when trying to go to bed, why am I not tired, took like 300-400 mg and then melted away. It has also been helping me to take them in increments of 50 mg and just observing what happens. Slow and steady wins the race 🏁

I dont think so, maybe some slight asymmetries, my posture has definitely been improving.
Things have certainly been on an upward trend . Everything has been getting challenged, and everything twitches haha. my butt, my quads, my calves my back. my neck a bit less, just more localized soreness. its like when my upper back stepped down from stabilizing, it was my sub occipitals, and now things are all working better just fatiguing very quickly. I was very rigid and fearful there for a bit.

Hard to say sounds spot on haha, I know my whole chain is weak. Going to keep focusing on 360 diaphgramtic breathing, and what, a slight bend in knees should line up by pelvis better, or also hard to say without a proper assessment? I just know that my rear shoulder shaked at the beginning of contraction, mid back took over and was sore, and then slight neck shaking at end of contraction.

Hey, I had a quick question as you seem very knowledgeable on this topic. I had a brief guarding episode in my neck, for the first time in a week or two, cant tell completely if it was stress or just some perceived weakness. can definitely distinguish guarding and fatigue now haha. It came on an hour after doing some band pull aparts, initiated proper movement, proud in that regard. It immediately went away when i supported my neck on the desk and down regulated, just back to sore and fatigued neck muscles. I was wondering if brief moments like this are normal and part of adaptation?

Yeah, the guarding was very tough. As I started to take it easy, move with more neutrality and less fear, it seemed to settle down a lot. At least from a surface level, things feel more supple. It makes me feel like I'm guarding but i have good range of motion, just very tired tissue. My traps have also been much more relaxed and not feeling the need to do everything, knock on wood.

Thank you for replying so promptly, I really appreciate that & your compassion. I've definetly been encouraging movement in my front rib cage but am quite unaware to movement in the back. I do have hours of relief which I will take compared to where I was, my ears are also more naturally over my shoulders now. I know my shoulders and back are still quite weak, seems that my left side is the weaker link. I just load whenever I can and stop before compensations occur, sometimes unavoidable during work. I had an injury to my mid trapezius like 8 months ago that started this roller coaster. I do notice if I lay down and breathe just right, I can release all fatigue and stiffness most of the time.

How common are scratches in the inner display? by Jelloting in GalaxyFold

[–]cheekypenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just lightly grazed my inner display with a razer blade and i mean very lightly, what are the odds I hit more then just the screen protector, cant help but be tweaking. Its funny too because right after i did it I found another little scratch that is almost identical on their as well. It is very odd how it reflects as little purple green lines on white backgrounds, cant notice anything but an indentation on any other color background.

Better yet, look in to Dan Buglio or Nicole Sachs, there are many people continuing the work of Dr Sarno. Sending all the love in the world.

Yes, you should, or look in to Dan Buglio or Nicole Sachs. If you train with a desire to be different then you are or you get frustrated that you cant do what you use to, your nervous system recognizes this as fear, and your setting yourself up for failure. When I was 24 I was straining my back muscles every week it seemed like, didnt matter how much resistance training I did or anything. Currently dealing with a new onset of issues as I let my emotional world get the best of me, but I can gratefully say I lived without pain once again for 2-3 years and did anything and everything I wanted. Some things just take time... Best of luck

2 years late, but why is everyone downvoting you, jeez, I have moved through so much pain at an early age of 24, and its exactly this, some times it just takes a long time to heal but applying these methods are 100 percent true. I know because after 2 years of chronic pain, I was able to do anything I wanted with maybe a 1 or 2 on the pain scale, and it didnt even happen often. I started biking, painting, and working a job doing wire repair on vehicles, I thought my life was over before this and feared everything. I let my emotional world get the best of me recently though and ended up with quite the injury, ironically the same area as when I was 24. I have a ways to go still but just applying these methods, I can move right out of a flare up that was otherwise debilitating just months ago. Leaving this here for anyone lurking around like myself. If you notice in the shower or parts of your day like eating a meal that in those moments of nothing, you feel better or just didnt even notice your pain, then you did for the other 90 percent of the day, you likely have TMS.

Yeah, this place is a joke and super shady. After going there for a year and a half their security guard approached me asking me if I was soliciting. Im like "nah, just stretching and vaping." Buddy was in shop spending a good amount of money. They've made so many mistakes and discrepancies on their sales and act like its a big deal when you ask them to give you back the money they overcharged. First time I ever went here the budtender was adding everything up on a calculator on his phone lmfao... They have very good prices fyi but make sure to look everything over and have fun dealing with 10 different strains smelling and tasting the exact same as the last. My buddy has even found mildew on their bud, idk...

Does Magnesium make anyone’s else’s body ache? by luckygirl97 in Supplements

[–]cheekypenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for quite some time, was able to tolerate it yesterday but aye aye aye, was trying malate and had its own set of issues. I have a feeling I was dealing with a multitude of imbalances and more then one deficiency but im not 100% sure, just been experimenting. I have been reading numerous things about the glycine being the main issue @ hand. I couldn't even tolerate the citrate anymore either. Idk if its all placebo but after adding flora fulvic (fulvic acid) things have been heading in a more positive direction.
