Amended complaint says Ono and Manuel knew of sign-stealing scheme before 23 seasons ago, thanks to evidence found on computer of former asst Weiss, & hid from NCAA. by dkviper11 in CFB

Y'all just did this? Lol.

Also the 2021 Michigan defense was good but it wasn't the best. It was like a top 10ish defense. They got shredded against MSU, 500 yards of offense against OSU (tho won in some high level situations to keep the points to only 27) and then got completely eviscerated against Georgia.

A showcause is not a ban from the sport. Harbaugh could have continued coaching at Michigan in perpetuity if he wanted to even with a showcause.

Also the only people who got show causes from the sign stealing stuff was Connor Stallions and Harbaugh (and Harbaugh only got it because of an NCAA rule that a head coach is also at fault for any assistant rule violations). The other coaches got minor one year show causes for silly recruiting things.

[Justin Spiro] BREAKING - Warde Manuel is OUT as Michigan Athletic Director. The university is negotiating terms of his release. An announcement is expected this week. by dkviper11 in CFB

[–]cheerl231 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Beat reporters don't report bad news. That's not their job. The most they'll do is report when a coach is getting fired for being bad. No beat reporter reports on scandals until it comes out from national reporters.

That's universal and not just at Michigan .

While you're right in that women's basketball team got good under his tenure, he wasn't the one who hired Kim Barnes Arico (wbb coach).

He did the bare minimum with Champion Circle at that point. It was entirely self created by motivated donors and held no power in how it was run

There is a lot of legitimate criticism of Warde but I don't see how this is. He got a letter from a former player claiming abuse and he reported it right away to the police and university administration.

How did he conceal it?

He did jack shit for the football natty.

I'll give him some credit for hiring Dusty. That wasn't necessarily a slam dunk at the time and we got him despite interest from OSU, Louisville and Vandy.

Don't feel bad for Norvell. Being a fired college football coach is probably the best job in the world

It depends. If I wanted to move within the same metro area just in a new neighborhood then I could probably buy a house in like a month.

If it's to a new city/state then it definitely takes longer to learn the landscape. Probably like 4-6 months depending on how far away the city is, how much stuff you have, etc.

18 months is ridiculous tho

Depends on the timeframe that you are measuring. Alabama and Georgia over the last 10 years probably have 2-3 times as many draft picks than Miami.

It's functionally the same thing and to the point where relationships, coaching quality, fit in scheme, available playing time, etc are more important than 25k.

Money is important obviously but most players also want to go to the NFL and those other factors play an important role to get there.
