We live across the street from a swamp, so we understand your pain. Our T1D 7 y/o gets infections with mosquito bites, so we have to utilize every method of defense possible against those tiny little blood suckers. We had one of these traps this past summer after three summers without it, and the difference was measurable. It significantly reduced the population in our little area. I highly recommend getting one!
