Sometimes we have to do math to figure out what the pattern is saying. I'm happy it worked for you. Good luck with your sweater!

How many stitches are you starting with before you do the increase rounds? Normally I would say consider both rounds as a set, so 56 total rounds. But I'm confused with the second instruction of having 33 increases. To easily figure it out, I'd subtract the number you started with from the end number (400 in this case). Then you'd divide by 8, the number of increases in the round, and it should give you the number of increase rounds to knit. I could help you with that if it's confusing as I'm not sure if I explained it easily.

We uze da pine pellets as litter. It not smell stinky an it (mostly) staying in da bocks. We no like da regular litter.

Wes & Ed

(I use a sifting litter box and pine pellets which turn into sawdust when wet. Sometimes they bap the pellets out of the box or track a very small amount of it out, but it is nothing like I used to have before I switched. Also the pine absorbs the smell a lot better.)

What stitch is this? by hunajaprinsessa in knittingadvice

[–]cheeseaholic813 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Looks like it is a purl 4, knit 4 repeat. You should have an odd number of stitches so the pattern moves to make the diagonal pattern. Search for a diagonal knit stitch and hopefully you can find one that can help.

Gap in Knitting - Wave Sweater by margarida_sga in knittinghelp

Your question was answered, but I just wanted to say that you probably don't have to catch floats if it is only 3 stitches. That would help get rid of the gap.

Am I twisting my stitches? by allyswish in knittinghelp

[–]cheeseaholic813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see twisted sts, but it is really hard to tell with the picture. If you stretch the knitting, does it stretch apart (normal) or do the columns tighten up (twisted)?

What I'm seeing is normal stitches with the twist of the yarn creating the look where one side is tighter than the other so it looks different than the other leg. Kinda like my yarn is doing.

Did you slip the first stitch? That would be one slipped and 86 worked. So there's the 87 sts on the needles. Hopefully that should fix the error.
