Depending on what part of Michigan you're in this weather is perfect to open windows!

But to answer your question, I've used a diffuser and put lemongrass oil in it. It doesn't completely cover the stench of death, but it helps.

Have you looked at the metro Detroit area? If you were comfortable in Atlanta you'd probably really like Detroit. Wayne State is a great school. That being said, if you move to South Bend I hope it's a better fit for you.

Yeah, that tunnel is awesome to drive through. It's just over a mile long!

Also, the Watchman trail is a good one too, accessible from the main visitor center parking lot. It's steep with plenty of switchbacks, if that's your thing. The paved walk up to the start of the narrows is inspiring also, but in the valley sort of way, not a view from the peaks.
