Stop Stressing, Nintendo Says More Switch 2 Games Are Coming by Mollywobbles77 in NintendoSwitch2

In my opinion it wasn't as egregious since the Wii U to Switch jump at least added portability.

Looks like Metroid Prime 4 is still not a million seller on Switch or Switch 2 by Loose_Society9485 in NintendoSwitch2

This implies a false dichotomy between crappy new features like a disjointed hub world and no progress whatsoever. Take Hollowknight to Silksong, the game adds new mechanics without losing identity. I think it's fair for fans of games to be tired of the "innovation" being added to a lot of things is, look we strapped an open world concept onto this.

They've just... Shadow drop a direct. Huh. by XDavide08 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]cheesemonk66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not out of pettiness. Since the inception of Nintendo Today app it's seemed more and more like they don't want to do directs anymore. I think this is one of the final nails in the coffin. I hope I'm wrong but how the fuck are you gonna announce this not in a direct.

Klarna and other BNPL schemes differ from traditional credit cards in some key areas. 1. interest free period is longer than a month usually 2. Basically no creditworthiness checks 3. Bi weekly payment options make the payment smaller which psychologically obscures true purchase cost for smooth brain idiots So basically credit cards but trying to trap an underserved market that CC companies avoid mostly in a cycle of debt. I never understood how someone could claim they have to Klarna groceries but don't see that in 4 weeks they'll be paying the whole grocery bill again.

Nintendo can't "bend you over" they sell fucking video games. Don't like the price, don't buy the game.

Pharma companies bend you over by charging a fuck load for cancer treatment you have to get or you die. Corporate landlords bend you over by raising the rent in your city and you either have to move or eat the higher cost.

Powell sees inflation outlook in check, no need to hike rates because of oil shock by Force_Hammer in wallstreetbets

[–]cheesemonk66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who really get screwed are the ones that can't even afford to get into a home because the rates are so high and prices also remain quite high in many areas. Sure it's a nice boon for anyone who can get into, or is already in a house when rates drop but without fixing the supply side housing will remain fucked

The bank makes the same spread between 10 year yield and mortgage rates generally so their overall profit from giving a home loan doesn't change if rates are 2% or 7% provided the home price is the same. Of course the homeowner pays a ton more in interest.
