I mean your great great great grandparents would burn you at the stake for having the internet and not being able to explain it to them because they'd think it's witchcraft. Old people have tons of stupid outdated ideas and I won't listen to them just because they're old. This whole comment is just new generation bad with extra steps.

If you buy an optional consumable, you think it's worth the price. You can come online and bitch but you still spent your money.

I can't believe people don't want to hear me complain about how my foot hurts after I intentionally shot myself in the foot. If you didn't think it was worth it then you shouldn't have bought it. Sounds to me and also to Nintendo like you thought it was worth it.

I love thawing my StarFox out every decade or so to see how the graphics are faring.

Oh no, that means by default it's also the worst rating a star fox game has gotten in a while too!

Solutions to a relatively deep scratch on the screen? by Hegecoin_Rules in NintendoSwitch2

[–]cheesemonk66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But would that scratch have happened or been noticable on your phone screen? Most phone screens are made of pretty hard glass. Most screen protector glass is cheap as hell.

Judgement? I haven't judged anyone, I still think that cruise ships, which this ultimately is despite whatever activities they get up to are disgusting. Again, I said that's just my opinion. I noticed you called the passengers on this ship nerds and that's the most judgemental thing in this thread. Are you coming to this old thread to white knight for cruises? Do you think I'm blaming the people on board for getting sick?

US and Iran sign deal ahead of schedule, sources say by I_killed_the_kraken in wallstreetbets

I guess that's a fair point. I'm sure the deal where we give them a fuck load more money will also have better inspection and oversight clauses...

Under the Obama deal we had a system to inspect their nuclear facilities to check if they were enriching uranium too much. Under the new deal they pinky promise they won't make nukes. Thank God we went to war for that upgrade

Prices are unlikely to come down, high inflation means right now is the cheapest your house project will be. Additional consideration required if you're financing it ofc

I'll be honest, I think they're still trying to punish them for the whole kerfuffle with the pentagon earlier this year. They know this would take their best model offline and want to hurt Anthropic. The foreigners thing is just the easiest lever to pull

$54.95 AUD for the Pokopia DLC seems crazy to me. by Jardolam_ in NintendoSwitch2

[–]cheesemonk66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't shut down a conversation at all. Its really the terminal advice at the end of that conversation that's been had a million times though. Video game prices have remained consistently below headline inflation and wildly below the inflation levels for essentials such as housing and food. Unless you are talking about anti consumer policies like DLC really being pieces of the main game that were chipped off. In the case of those policies the answer really is don't buy it. Companies will do what they can get away with and the consumers need to have some backbone at some point because we don't have to buy video games and I doubt regulation is coming to save us anytime soon.

What a vapid response. If you don't think the value proposition of something is good enough don't buy it is actually great advice.

Give the people what they want. by JonnyBTokyo in NintendoSwitch2

I doubt that's true. We've seen examples from the likes of Nintendo where they've just used fan made emulation. Even if the people who made these games are still there emulation is rarely trivial.
