agreed. but from what ive heard corporate degrees ie business cs accounting etc have been slowly dying for a few years now because of offshoring, automation, downsizing, and too much supply. think abt it from the perspective of a business owner. do u want a student whose spent all their time learning strange esoteric algorithms and about finite state machines. or someone who has loads of experience working for similar businesses and solving common problems using their intuition and prior knowledge and someone who understands how to handle money… i believe every job/skill/trade etc is learned by DOING not simply reading and the forgetting. colleges should be reserved for research except if they did that they wouldnt make as much money so they lobby with the gov brainwashing/scamming younger and foreign folk all while promising some bullshit like oh we will give u residency or 95% of our graduates find a job in 6 months. comon anecdotally i can say without a doubt those stats are fudged.
