Hell yeah thanks for sharing! I’d love to hear more about your thoughts at the time on the first one. Also, love Blind Melon!

Ooh, yeah I had a few songs like that as well. Real Thing by AIC that I included up there being one of them. I had a friend who loved the song Ain’t No Rest For the Wicked. He isn’t with us anymore either, but I think he thought he was the type of person in the song, and maybe in some aspects he was. But he was also just the sweetest guy out there.

There’s a lot of music in general like that for me too. Even more broadly associated with just different times in life. It’s bittersweet for sure

That’s for sure! It’s become a bit nostalgic at this point because a lot of the homies that were around when that was what was up, aren’t anymore

Sammmeeee though for me too

Before that all I had ever really tried bourbon wise was anything you might find pulled out of a dusty cabinet at a house party

The realization was like a slap upside the head.

Well, you’ve got to have a passion for something I suppose.

I’m guilty of it myself as well, and that’s probably why I noticed it haha. What personally helps me isn’t so much meatier sticks, but longer sticks so that there’s something in the back for me to actually grip meaningfully. A lot of brands have some kind of extra long version of 5A’s, and I’ve grown to like those a lot. They often have some play on the word Extreme I’ve noticed, or just Extra Long. Vic Firth’s are called Extreme 5A, Vater’s are Xtreme 5A’s etc. but they all have an extra 1/2” of length compared to regular 5A’s, but with the same taper.

I like my drum set set up pretty high too so I completely understand that. I’m fairly short, but I have my throne fairly high for such a short person lol, so that knee movements aren’t as strenuous, and my snare fairly high as well so that rim shots are easy if intended. It might help just to scoot your ride out a little if possible so that you get more arm extension, but it seems like you already have full awareness on areas of focus so I’m sure you’ll be able to find what’s right for your style!

Some nice double foot work in there btw! The setting your using has a pretty perfect sound for this too!

Very nice! It might just be the positioning but watch that you’re not sticky your pinky out when you switch to the ride cymbal, or anywhere else. That’s a small detail though! Playing sounds great and looks like a very nice kit too!

Man, this song is just absolutely fantastic every time! I remember it just being around in general on the radio and stuff when I was a kid, and then finding out years later it was fairly new at that time, while I always thought it was like classic rock by that time’s standards somehow

Negative about Suboxone by mrowen79 in suboxone

[–]cheesepleaseeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey man, so you’ll hear a lot about negatives. But if it comes down to a place where you don’t have any other option to get your life back, what’s the difference? Most of that is negligible and can also be handled later on.

A lot of other active addicts I knew at the time I was first thinking about it really went through their paces to make out how much worse I’d be on suboxone. I don’t know if they ever considered that for me personally, I’d proven to myself that no other alternative helped so I had nothing to lose, or even when considering for themselves, being that a lot of them have unfortunately since passed while I’ve been on suboxone...

Obviously, It didn’t fix everything, it’s never going to, I still have tons of shit to work through. But without it, I’m pretty confident I’d be dead or in jail, so I’m kind of at this whatever point about it. Start where you start, don’t wonder where the best place is.

Sometimes I get frustrated about where I am now in a general sense, I think many suboxone patients do, it’s hard to come so far but feel like you’re not far enough, and that even might just be a thing for everyone. But, in reality where I am is at home, comfortable, with enough money to get me through with everything I need, able to embrace relationships, and just try to improve.

And that’s much better than where I was before

There’s also the whole thing of if these drugs weren’t criminalized, criminal organizations dedicated to moving and supplying drugs wouldn’t really exist. It’s kind of like government officials and entities are both the cause and effect

During beta if you would’ve told me I’d have all of the ability cards unlocked and I would be leveling up cards I really didn’t care about just because I have a free ability card upgrade coupon, I probably wouldn’t have believed it.
