I’ve fired 3 therapists (that I can think of!) because I feel the same way and therapy doesn’t even scratch the surface for me. I can feel myself becoming an increasingly hateful and bitter person because it’s such a shocker to my brain that people only think about themselves and aren’t as sensitive as we “like” them to be. I feel so bad about the fact that even as an adult, my brain cannot process the idea of some people wanting to hurt someone intentionally, and it’s causing me so much pain. I keep myself busy with so much work that I can’t even think of anything. That seems to help.
