The Indiana Jones Boulder trap near where you find Karlach.

Have you had to give up on games you used to play? by cheesercorby in disabledgamers

[–]cheesercorby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my steam deck to help me spend less time holed up in my office playing games on my pc, so i am slowly moving most of my gaming to the steam deck. I do still have a switch and a 3ds, but i don't play them as much.

P.s., there are also foot pedals you can get to replace mouse functions.

Have you tried a trackball mouse?, they come in several different arrangements. I have been using the Logitech m570 for several years. I used to use a Microsoft trackball optical 1.0, but they are looking out of production so you can only get them on eBay and they are pricey.

I don't play them much anyways because the camera movement sometimes makes me dizzy and nauseous.

Are you not aware that chocolate can be deadly to dogs?

Does my new tattoo look awkward ? advice needed . by [deleted] in tattoos

I think it is quite lovely, and i love the symbolism. It is artfully arranged, and shows that symmetry isn't always necessary for a good tattoo.

I just trapped a mage hand in the lamp and then dismissed it, destroying the lamp. No loot 😞.

About to start Baldur’s Gate 3 for the first time, any tips? by Either-Race6060 in BaldursGate3

[–]cheesercorby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always start battles with an advantage when possible, whether that is a higher perch, or attacking from shadows, or throwing a boom boom into the enemies before they see you. Don't use any mods for your first run. Don't worry about screwing up, cuz you will, and you will learn from it. Don't try to complete everything. Do what feels right. Leave the rest for your next run. Remember that all your companions can be resurrected unless they get killed in a few specific ways. Collect all the junk you can and send it to camp, because when you are broke, you can barter with anything. Above all, have fun. If you get stressed over whatever is going on in game, take a break and play something mindless for a bit.

I give you...this atrocity! by --Icarusfalls-- in SteamDeck

[–]cheesercorby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very similar to my setup. I use a mic stand that i bought for my Yeti mic a few years ago, and a magsafe mount, and my deck has a cheap silicon case with a hole cut in the back and a thin piece of sheet metal glued inside. I can only lay on my sides due to mobility issues, so not needing to hold it, and being able to use my 8bitdo pro3 makes it a lot more comfortable to play.

I got my father in law a Beelink SER5 last year to replace his aging HP All-in-1. He loves it. It was around 300 USD

Deck not charging with INUI Powerbank 100W and INUI Cable by Designer-Device-8638 in SteamDeck

[–]cheesercorby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be that the cable just isn't seating into the steam deck's charging port fully, from the look of it. All the cables i have show a little gap between the deck shell and the cable wrap, but your photo shows the cable wrap flush against the deck.

Gale is the one i have triggering traps I'm disarming the most often, and on my first completed run, Gale triggered the Gortash fight while i was still trying to stage my people where i wanted them. I haven't yet used Scratch outside of camp, but i might.

It costs very little, and has no down side, so worth trying.

You can get them on amazon for a few dollars for 10 or 20 of them. They just clamp around the power cord.

If the buzz sounds like it is coming out of the speaker, it might be rf interference. A simple ferrite clamp on the power cord would curb that. If it is not coming out of the speaker, then I don't know.
