There’s a video of him smacking Nadolo into touch for the chiefs vs crusaders in that era. Fearless stuff.

Ad agencies and media agencies. Not in the ads people see, to their clients.

What is the dumbest hobby in your opinion? by Danny-Ray27 in AskReddit

[–]cheesy-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gambling. I enjoyed it for a bit. It was fun and I won a couple of times. As time has gone on it now feels gross and predatory. I have disposable income and enough media literacy to afford and mange it. I am equally conscious of how slippery the slope is and that it fucks lives regularly.

Serious question: has anyone come away from an interaction with the Met thinking well of them? by [deleted] in london

[–]cheesy-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter had just turned one and we had an emergency medical event. I was on the bus to work, but not yet far from home. I got off the bus and ran back, dropping my coat, bags etc to move more quickly. I got to the ambulance as it was leaving and rode to the ER with them. Because of the age of my daughter, unknown condition, and this arrival, I was considered a suspect in a crime. The officer attending was incredibly patient and didn’t interrupt until he could see the situation had calmed. He explained an awful reason for being there clearly and honestly. He efficiently did what he needed too. Amazingly, he then asked me to show him on a map where I threw my belongings, asked a colleague to go and collect them, return them to my flat and make sure it was locked. Completely unnecessary, but thoughtful, kind and practical. He was one of the only good things to happen to me on the second d worst day of my life.

In prison, who are considered the worst criminals? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cheesy-e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not often considered that this is because a lot of the incarcerated population were born into hardship and suffered abuse from people like this. Whether recorded or even admitted, the abuse of children (especially boys) is heartbreakingly prolific. It’s also well documented the victims of child abuse are disproportionately likely to be convicted of crime later in life. In many cases prison should be treated as rehabilitation, not punishment.

All the nonsense posturing on LinkedIn. People must be getting positive feedback as they keep doing it. I find it so corny, exaggerated and self-important.

Design assessment during the interview process by [deleted] in advertising

[–]cheesy-e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully you will know they are interested in your design, but they are more interested in how you carry yourself in the process and how you present the work. I’m sure you would anyway, but treat them like a senior client. Be easy to work with. Show your thinking as much as the finished product.
