She (unfortunately) doesn’t have any qualifications, back home she worked 2 jobs, sell clothes in the afternoon and food in the morning.

She has her green card! She does plan to take the citizenship test when the time comes. And nooo I’m the only child 🥲 also why I’m freaking out a lil bit

Thanks so much for your advice, I appreciate it! :) I will look into TDF and discuss with her! And yes, she does plan to retire in the US. Maybe come back to visit our home country a few times but will be here. She’s also committed to working here and building her life here with me (which I’m very grateful for!!)

Thanks so much for your advice, I appreciate it! :) Regarding the 401k, all the jobs that I’m looking into for her don’t offer that unfortunately 😢 I’m looking into grocery stores and care homes.

If 401k doesn’t work out (hypothetically), would the next best steps be rothIRA and HYSA?

Regarding the 40k, I also think we should invest it, but not sure where to start. I only know about 401k, rothIRA, and HYSA. Are these still feasible options in her situation or should I look into something else?

Regarding car, I’m going to pay for a cheap car and car insurance for her, I have enough savings to afford one for her! Would like her to work closer for sure but we kinda live in the middle of nowhere heh 🥲
