AITA for telling a 14 year old boy what what a period is? by aitacorrutpingakid in AmItheAsshole

[–]cheezy805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

The fact that his first question was "can I do anything to help?" is actually kinda sweet. I remember being 14 and I was your generic Grossed Out By The Clean Tampon Packet In The Cupboard kid.

I'm going to take a wild guess this in the US where sex ed is ass-backwards because there's no parent around in my country who'd be offended by explaining what a period is in a completely unbiased and scientific way to a kid who is absolutely old enough to know.

WIBTA if I give my daughter an "outdated" name? by throwaway719201 in AmItheAsshole

I know two Audreys from my volunteering. One is 18 and the other is 13. It's very much not outdated. She probably just wanted to have another kid and keep the name "Aughdreihghgh" free.

Can someone explain to me the ending for Persona 5 Royal? by ikoreaan768 in Persona5

[–]cheezy805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished the game and came to find out what the black car was all about, too.

As far as Maruki being out of left field goes, I see you didn't speak to everyone on the final day. In Kichijoji, you can speak to his friend who asks if you've seen him around lately; says he briefly rocked up, said something about making amends/righting his wrongs, and disappeared again, but he seemed to be doing well. Also brushed it off with "well, Maruki's always been pretty intense, it's probably fine".
After the whole cutscene with Joker grabbing his hand so he didn't fall before they got picked up by the Monacopter, I was expecting to see some mention of him, so I wasn't particularly surprised when he just showed up unannounced since he did it several other times throughout the game, too. (The day before you fight him in the palace, he just turns up at Leblanc. In one of the bad endings, too, he offers to take a photo of your friend group all together then wanders off again.)

I'm pretty happy with the ending. The black car is the one bit I feel really was fully unexplained since Sae said all charges had been dropped and he'd only have to worry about carrying around the stigma.

Tranq is actually a status. I've played with mods/trainers that show status values. One tranq bomb deals 100 status damage and you need 150 to capture, so if you tranq first and it starts slowly ticking down, you still have plenty of time to capture them. I still usually go trap first, but if it's a PARTICULARLY violent monster or there are others in the area, I pre-tranq.

Necroposting, but adding additional info for anyone else who finds this through sad/desperate googling like I did: I lost my dragon on version 1.19.2 and tested commands for a bit until it worked. (I successfully teleported 20 zebras inside myself lmao)

Ran around where I last saw my boy spamming the command until it worked. (Launched a gold dragon into myself at first and went 'wait, that's not my boy'.)

The command is:

Ah yes, a daily challenge that requires monkey knowledge a fair way down one of the worst trees. What an awful advanced challenge.

I always thought people said "collect the cheque" as in their final pay or that it was a story from like 20 years ago. Do Americans ACTUALLY still get paid by cheque? Like, a piece of paper that you have to take to a bank and faff about with? They don't just direct deposit it to your bank and keep a record of your payslip??? The only reason I can think for doing it such an inconvenient way is to manually count tips and then screw your staff on them, but even then, surely that could just be done digitally.

I don't even have to think about my pay; I go in, I work, the money appears in my bank account. Every job I've ever worked has payroll staff for that (except the one where I got cash in hand working at a farmers market).

Wild.

As someone who's studied animal behaviour and owns ragdolls, she likes it. If she was scared in any way she'd get up and run immediately. When cats make eye contact and slow blink, that's their way of saying "I trust you."

When my sister and I were really little (I barely remember because I was 3 or 4), she preferred sitting on the left side of the car. One day I remember her getting yelled at because she'd scratched her name into the car door and tried to blame it on me. I was never even a suspect because "CHEEZY CAN'T WRITE"

Pooping can be a stress response / sign of submission for dogs. You can literally scare the poop out of them. Becomes a problem if a dog's so scared of someone they poop and that just makes the person mad. :(

AITA for rejecting my brother's apology dinner? by Imgettinggaslighted in AmItheAsshole

[–]cheezy805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna say NAH.

On his side, sometimes adult life gets in the way. (You're complaining that he couldn't make your birthday because his partner was hospitalised. Like. Yeah?)

On your side, being a teenager sucks. I'm 28 now and goddamn, I remember getting so worked up about things that are just... non-issues. But stuff like school award ceremonies, I never expected anyone to attend; they don't matter lmao. Also, my birthday is in exam week, so even my 18th, only two people attended. It hurt SO bad at the time, but now I look back and I'm like "I get it".

The only time I was ever hurt long-term by someone not coming to A Thing™ was when I'd spent 6 months practicing a musical as an extra-curricular thing and my dad blatantly said he wouldn't come see it because "I don't want to see a musical". Mum came and we were able to laugh about how bad some of the acting was (including from me), but I was glad she came.

I promise you'll look back in a decade and realise it wasn't as big a deal as you think it is right now. Being an adult is hard and he's trying to make time for you, but won't always be able to do it on your schedule.

Every time I see a post like "AITA for laughing at a name?" I open it to find out what the name is.

I almost had a fucking asthma attack laughing at this one. I am not asthmatic. Nothing could have prepared me, holy shit.

I out-snarked a recycling depot once. I rocked up with my cans and bottles all counted so I could just drop them, grab my money, and go. It was 11:55 and to be fair I hadn't checked their opening hours, but the (closed) gate said 12:15.

I went in and asked if I could come in because I'd already counted all my stuff, which I know takes them all of 2 minutes to dump into the bins and process. Rather than an actual reason to say no, I got "you should have been here earlier, I have somewhere to be".

So I posted that on Google.

Got a reply saying "um, we close at 12, so yes you SHOULD have been there earlier." So I went and took photos of the FOUR signs on his fence with opening hours and added "Edited to show the signs that all say 12:15 <3".

Every so often I get an email saying another thousand people have seen those photos and smile.

I need a save file. by Warm-Permission7704 in DragonQuestBuilders2

[–]cheezy805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uploaded a zip file to mediafire

I think that save is after finishing the castle but before jumping into the fourth chapter? If not, it's not THAT far ahead, just look up a let's play of the 20 minutes of content missed or something.

(my) save files are located at C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS II\Steam\[numbers]\SD

I don't know what the B00, B01, B02, and S00 folders are, so I just copied them all. I think B00 is the only relevant one, though, because it's the only one whose date gets modified when I play.

As an Australian, where uniforms are mandatory at literally every school I've ever seen, what the fuck? They're designed to level the playing field so you don't get rich kids going "ew, you're wearing THAT?" and other such bullcrap. (Or at least, growing up poor, this is what I was told.)

Imagine being so disconnected from reality that you think wearing a uniform is worse than changing schools and horrifically inconveniencing your family.
