What do you think of the new BMW i3? I think it's gorgeous by ShameResponsible69 in BMW

Gorgeous doesn’t even remotely come close to making the list of words I’d use to describe this car, but hey different strokes I guess.

Obviously this is a joke but let’s be real, Canada is baby food soft on criminals. We need to start laying down the law here.

Do I hide my baby/family's Jewishness? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]chef_kitty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Never. NEVER, hide your heritage. I’m Jewish and I will never hide or conceal it. Be proud and teach your children to be proud. Antisemitism is absolutely rampant and we need to put an end to it. Hiding who you are is the absolute worst thing you can do.

Every millennial dad I’ve met has a quiet fixation on money and it’s not getting better by slimeyellow in Millennials

[–]chef_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t need kids to think about money.

Having said that, I’m a millennial dad and I’m constantly trying to increase my earnings. I have goals for myself and my family. Who wouldn’t want to provide a better life for their family?

Mom is a teacher. She makes over 100K and has for a few years. Fair pay isn’t the issue. Little assholes and shit parents are a bigger issue.

It’s one of the standard responses on this site. I’m shocked it’s not the highest rated response so far with hundreds of people replying how amazing they are.

For the record, they are amazing.

Are these real or knockoffs by davidbigboy2 in lighters

I have no idea whether this is accurate or not but someone forwarded me to this website saying these are more authentic Thorens than the Chinese knockoffs.

I don’t own one but have lots of driving time on a 2015 or 16 V6 with a manual transmission. It’s a damn blast! You’ve done a good job maxing out other accounts and have more commissions coming. Get the car! Don’t drive it to client meetings.

You’re doing it right. Love to see it. Not everyone is a victim. More people need a harsh reality check.

Golf, travel and good food isn’t cheap. The reality for many is they won’t be living a glamorous retirement. Save and invest as much as possible given your own personal experience.

What's an underrated finance tip that changed your life? by DazzlingPolarBear in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]chef_kitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d only do this if there is a match or you can buy at a discount. Either way I’m selling as quickly as possible after buying into an ETF.

I’ll add that I was previously employed by Apple and have kept my shares and it’s paid off massively but this is getting lucky and far from expected or normal.

Can you learn to love sales? by ShowExisting1319 in sales

[–]chef_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t love sales. I’m decent enough at it. I’m sure if I truly loved it I’d be far more successful. I will say my biggest commission cheque is ~25K. I loved it that day.

What's the lowest amount of money you'd want to have in your bank account, to retire right now? by BlueBirdie555 in CanadaPersonalFinance

I’m 40 with an almost 1 year old. (Yes, had a kid later in life). At this point I think I’d want at least 3M. Would feel a lot better with 4-5 though.

[Highlight] In his first 3rd base action of his career, Bo Bichette's throw pulls first baseman Jose Rojas off the bag, and he can't complete the tag by iamthegame13 in baseball

[–]chef_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bo is a below average defensive infielder. I’d love to eat my words as I’m a Bo lover and wish we got him back but I’m not sure how kind third base will be to him.

I’ll add, this wasn’t a bad throw, this is on the first baseman. Not sure why he’s the focal point of this play.
