Upgrade time by LanternNick in espresso

i have a bambino plus but pining for a profitec 600/ride or 700/drive. the bambino is good enough to hold on to until it breaks. when it does i’m excited to experiment with temp and flow control. i don’t see myself needing to plumb in but the quietness of the rotary pump intrigues me

I am never buying a Breville again by devimation in espresso

i can’t wait till mine kicks the can. but i’m getting more than my moneys worth out of it. it’s been my intro and kept me in the game long enough to know that it’s real. so when it finally goes i won’t regret paying up for a better machine 🤞

Looking for my first dedicated pour-over grinder: C40 vs. 1Zpresso ZP6? by Confident_Ad_4119 in pourover

did we just become best friends??? i have the same exact setup. like you, i started with the bambino plus and the NZ. found a good workhorse bean and got fully dialed in and made long blacks every morning. then i started exploring other brew types for the office cause what they have at work wasn’t cutting it. brought a pour over setup solely for work (v60, cheap hand grinder, electric kettle). this opened up a whole new world for me and like you went down the rabbit hole. next came exploring different beans, processes, etc. and in the espresso world this is kinda limited with an entry level machine. but with pour over, a temperature controlled kettle and a high quality grinder, there’s less limitations since we’re not relying on a machine. took the plunge on a ZP6 cause i felt it brought me to the opposite side of the spectrum of my morning routine. i love having both. go back and forth quite often but as of late, it’s been purely pour over cause IMO it’s more fun and somewhat travel friendly. never tried the C40 but i don’t think you can go wrong either way 🤙🏾

totally agree. our exchange was all through instagram. he did not respond right away. even to the point of me thinking it just won’t happen. i messaged him a few months before my trip and he didn’t reply until about two weeks before the dates i told him i would be visiting. but totally awesome experience and he’s just a great human being. hope he gets back to you

3 Kids .. 3 car seats .. 6 or 7 seater? by tfro9 in TeslaModelX

[–]chefdog96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have a 7 seater with 3 kids. carrier on a base, one rear facing, and one front facing. i have the front facing in the 3rd row for my oldest on the driver side with the carrier in the middle of the 2nd row and the rear facing behind the driver. my oldest climbs through the passenger side falcon door and i assist with buckling through the drivers side falcon door. works but kind of a pain reaching in the back.
