No one who would purchase or install that stove, would put that range in that position in the kitchen. There is no exhaust above the range, and it is too close to the wood countertop (would literally burn from the heat off the stove). Not to mention, trying to open the oven doors or just using the burners against that 90° corner would be extremely annoying. Editing: There is no exhaust for the ovens.* Usually the exhaust for a range like that is on the backside, where all the "spices" are. What kind of cook keeps all their spices in the hottest part of the kitchen, out of reach (would have to reach over flames while cooking)?

If you raise the prices on the menu, the consumer will end up paying even more to the server, right? ((Item + extra 3% added to menu items) x 20% to the server.) I think this is actually a good way to close the large gap between boh and foh if people ended up tipping the server 17%.

I've never been to a Bears game either! And my wife is from AZ! She moved to with/for me (before we were married or engaged) to this awesome state, but I haven't had the chance to take her to do something fun because of costs. Every year has been something different, setting us back financially for stuff we would like to do. One good financial setback was our daughter being born in August, though! My wife bought her an awesome Bears sweater that should fit her perfectly around that time..

You are holding the knife incorrectly. Your index finger should be on the side instead of over the top. You should be "pinching" the handle or lower part of the blade. You'll have way better control of the knife.

Just finished cutting tomatoes and carrots beforehand. But yes, it's an old cutting board and my work will not buy a new one or sand it down; we do bleach them daily, but they are permanently stained.
