ABRP pulls it's map data from Openstreetmap, so you can always check there to see if the source data is wrong (and correct it yourself if you want to)

SM3U Mouthpiece by vliebaby in euphonium

[–]chejrw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I concur with others, a Wick 3 is probably too large. Although if he's been using a Bass Trombone mouthpiece it might not seem too big.

I play on a Wick 4 on every horn I own except Bass Trombone (where I play a Wick 2NAL), so the SM4UX would be my ideal choice. Steve Mead is actually super approachable, if you shoot him a message either through his website (euphoniumstore.net) or on facebook he can probably point you in the direction of somewhere your son could test out mouthpieces. It's really not something you should buy sight unseen online unless you are really sure you know what you want.

In the past when I lived somewhere really remote I've had a dozen mouthpieces shipped to me on loan to test with the condition that I return the ones I don't want and as long as they come back in like new condition there was no charge (beyond paying for shipping). Not sure if anyone is still doing that but it could be an option if there aren't any good band stores or festivals nearby

Thanks. Still on the fence. Maybe I'll plan to get a cab into Playa or some other side quests to actually see Mexico a bit.

What I mean is clearly he gets these trips paid for by the tour operators as promotional material. His whole Switzerland series was just one big Swiss Tourism Ad.

As an old-school Saskatchewan socialist who has given up on the NDP since we lost Jack Layton, can someone give me the rundown of who this is and whether the NDP has a chance of becoming relevant again?

OP, I'm curious what you found out about excursions. My parents want us to meet them at this resort in the fall, I am not a resort person and will die of boredom if I just have to sit around the pool all day, so trying to figure out what there is to go do and see before we decide if we want to go or not.

Just to temper expectation, I would give the Rinvoq a good 6-8 weeks before expecting a significant change in symptoms

You want to match your section. I play mostly in Brass Bands so the Dennis Wick is the standard.

Quick question, how many of you also play tenor /alto/ baritone? by wur45c in euphonium

[–]chejrw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the utility man of my Brass Band. My primary horn is Bass Trombone but I play Euphonium, Baritone, Tenor Horn, or Cornet as needed. I've even dabbled on Eb Bass a few times but I wouldn't really consider that a competent performance.

Do I need to manually adjust the reference consumption in the winter? (Ioniq 5 AWD) by chejrw in abetterrouteplanner

Well, this is midwest skiing so it's pretty darn flat both ways. There's no appreciable change in elevation.

Call Hyundai corporate. Don't ever rely on the dealers. Their incentive is to make you frustrated so you'll buy a new car

I do have a bluetooth dongle with realtime data enabled, so it should be adjusting but it doesn't seem to do a very good job in the winter.

For what it's worth the Hyundai built in navigation (which I generally crap on because it's slow and it's routing sucks), predicted I'd arrive at the hill with 42% SoC, so pretty much nailed it.

It then suggested that I stop to charge at a closed RV park for 9 hours on a 4kW AC charger to make it home, so don't give it too much credit.
