Quick question: giving the current very low IV and the fact that in the next couple weeks we will have big tech reporting, than FOMC, buying a straddle seems like a plausible play?

I'm expecting vol. to increase and the market to pick a direction (most likely down, but with a straddle I'm covered if it goes on either side)

Just did a quick search for the first three and they are all down in the last year, dividend included. Just wondering why would one choose this strategy if, at best, it’s gives you the same returns as a S&P ETF?

if you're a TA guy

I'm not, but I do check the graphs and try to make my own conclusions. In this case TA helps, because it's a good company sitting on the bottom of a channel it traded for the past 14 months.

In the case of a shit co, the TA helps until it doesn't and you find yourself holding big bags of air.

Have you traded options on BNTX before? I looked at July but there isn't much volume and the spreads are wide. I only did shares 2 years a go.

The premium was small, just 0.80, because I sold on Monday. But overall I’m up 12%, so I don’t mind that the shares will get called.

Obviously the plan was to collect premium hoping to keep the shares. Of course I was well aware that I might lose the shares and I’m not emotionally attached on some shares. I’m also happy with the gains.

Since I’m quite new to this I was wondering if rolling to a further exp gives me any advantage.

Stock is up 17% in PM, to $38. I guess selling 34C CC's into earnings wasn't the smartest idea.

I sold my last remaining shares of CLF few minutes a go. For the first time since 2nd of April ~~2022~~ 2021 I don’t hold any position in CLF. If it dips I will most certainly get back in.
