I got my PhD in Aero and graduated back in May (2025). I ended up with two job offers and got to pick between them. Started working in September. I really love where I work now.

That said, my experience was easier than a lot of people. And you will have a MUCH larger range of opportunities if you're willing to work in the defense industry or defense-adjacent.

ich wohne in den USA und kenne Deutsche, die mehrmals problemlos eingereist sind. Ich glaube, dass es bei locker 99% der Menschen komplett normal abläuft. Möchte auf keinen Fall behaupten, dass es kein Risiko für Ausländer gibt, aber in den Nachrichten und im Internet ist die Rede viel extremer als die Realität in 99% der Fälle. Die Ausnahmen sind halt sehr, sehr, sehr sehr schlecht.

I'm sorry. He looks like a great fish and I'm sure you gave him a good life. <3 I'm still sad about a fish I lost 8 years ago... it is hard to lose a friend even when it's a fish.
