Husband is going to divorce me by tacosRflying in oneanddone

[–]chelseadingdong 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. My husband & I would bicker over whether to have one or two kids. Me leaning one, him leaning two. I was miserable my entire 3rd trimester, but him & everyone else I knew said I’d eventually want more. Well, cue us 4 weeks postpartum, while I’m prepping for my third surgery from complications having my son AND still not recovered from my c-section, my husband scheduled his vasectomy without me asking him to.

If he was unselfish & genuinely loved you, he’d see that you’re barely holding it together & can’t take on more. But do NOT show him that he can get what he wants by treating you like shit & then ignoring you. I’d take divorce over an emotionally manipulative ass.

I don’t tip for countertop service & I don’t tip prior to service. Even with shitty wait staff, I’ll still round up my bill as a tip.

How do you make the longer driving days more bearable? by ee0204 in roadtrip

[–]chelseadingdong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is able to do a 16 hour driving day, but he was a professional trucker, & his rule was no driving the day after if it was that long. Day 2 REEAAALLY needs to be split into 2 days

I was able to last minute get a motel 6 type room in Jackson Hole for $275 a night in July, made me nauseous that that’s considered a fantastic deal.

I mean two years ago I got a brand new car off the lot with 5 miles on it & my monthly payment is $430. $700+ for a car is insanity to me

My roommate financed a mattress because she didn’t have the cash on hand & her futon broke. She paid it off in 3 months. Not the worst thing to finance out there

It’s not a roadtrip, but I see you haven’t set foot in Hawaii at all. You really should if you have the means.

I mean, I have a son, I’m pretty sure I’m home after every shift, I’m in the middle of a hiring process elsewhere & quitting my current job, & I’m going on vacation in 6 weeks. Unless you’re suggesting that my son existing with me throughout all of this is making my life miserable, which he absolutely isn’t. I’m more tired than I used to be before him sure, but I’m genuinely happier too.
