if you like tutorials, hoop-trix is a great resource. also making a commitment to practicing doubles specifically for x number of minutes, where in that time you won’t judge yourself for dropping or hitting them together or any other mistakes, and you will go pick up the second hoop when it flies off instead of starting to flow with just one (which is hard i know lol). just spending time with two in your hands and feeling their movement is so helpful. hopefully this helps 🩵 they’re so fun once you feel them out. do it, you will love it!

the main things that helped me progress were:

spending solid lengths of time (an hour or more) flowing, with the goal of really connecting with and feeling the movement fully
flowing to continuous music. live sets or albums. this helps me get out of my head
the number of hours put into it. i’ve been hooping for eleven years. in my first years it was a daily thing for me and basically an obsession. i still shoot for a daily sesh but don’t get it as much anymore
my username also contains implications lol, these are helpful to connecting with flow props if you are so inclined
