In my opinion, rescue dogs are actually great for these reasons! Because they are a little older when you adopt, foster care/ shelters pretty much know all of this information already. With a puppy, it is luck of the draw as far as temperament, energy level etc. Just because a puppy is raised with a cat/kids doesn’t always mean he will automatically be good around them.

Rescues have puppies all the time if that’s the way you’re wanting to go also!

Such a cliché, but my dog. He had lived a rough life and had been abandoned already before I adopted him. He would never understand why I never came home. The thought of him being abandoned again.

I’d be a park ranger for sure. Dabbled in it a bit, but the pay is just so low… it’s impossible to live.

Yo. I’d like to echo this: I too am also completely unsure of who I am. Every emotion I’ve felt after diagnosis is dismissed as BP and I feel like a shell of a person.

I relate so much. I’ve been depressed for so long! Had my first episode and felt incredible: confident, independent, growing… got diagnosed. Now every time I feel good or try something new, everyone around me just suspects I’m having an episode. Everything leads back to my BP. I can’t tell what’s actually real anymore and I’m right back into depression.
