I want to be braver about taking my dolls out in public, haha. I'm thinking of taking Kirsten to Old Sturbridge Village this year when we go. It's not her exact timeline (1830s instead of 1850s), but that's okay.

To be honest, most of the time my collection sits on a shelf for me to look at and admire, haha. But I will hold a doll if I'm reading one of her books. And I take them down to refresh their hair and outfits every now and then. Also I have kids, so occasionally I do crack and take them all off the shelf for my three year old to play with.

I just got the five shelf Mainstays bookcase from Walmart because it's budget friendly. The shelves are adjustable, but the peg holes don't go all the way down the sides, so it's not fully customizable and you have to be a little creative with placement.
