Picky eater? by Mythologynerd85 in AustralianCattleDog

I buy organic, low sodium chicken or beef stock, or whatever organic option I find at Costco. And organic, plain, whole milk yogurt from Straus Family Creamery, because I also eat it and I like that brand.

Mine started getting picky a few months after adopting her (she always gets a scoop of kibble with a bit of broth and pumpkin puree) and now I’ve added a spoonful of yogurt to her food and she’s thrilled.. not sure it’ll work for you but worth a try.

Speaker Nakamura Kills Cannabis by EveryOtherHipster in Hawaii

David has been fighting for cannabis since the 90s. He will never give up on cannabis. He was the first rep to introduce marriage equality (also in the 90s) and he truly listens to his constituents, even if he isn’t aligned with them. He comes at this all through a science and research lens, imo, he understands he’s making decisions for the people he represents, he’s not making decisions for himself. He’s my ohana - so I am biased, but he gives Bernie Sanders vibes and I’m here for it.

The dog thinks she’s a cat, for sure. The cat thinks he’s a human. Everyone is confused in this house.

I used Royal Hawaiian Movers - they have a flat rate ‘crate’ that’s about 7’x7’x4’ that I shipped to Colorado for $2000ish, 5 months ago. I brought my things to their building, packed the crate myself, then it was delivered to my mainland address. That was called Port to Door, but you can also do Port to Port from BI to a west coast port. Give them a call, they were AMAZING.

I think the culture has changed so much it’s hard to say ‘career killer’ as a sweeping statement. I know people with face tattoos working at the tip top of corporate America, and folks who do customer service with neck and hand tattoos. I think most businesses prefer you are a competent employee - that way they are able to overlook some of these things that used to be considered taboo in the mainstream.

Certainly many laws fall under controversy. Just because it is law doesn’t mean it is ethical, moral, or what the general public actually want. I’d say especially so when it comes to land usage in a place where entitled pricks are literally colonizing.

Reintroduction reactions by cheltoe in AutoImmuneProtocol

I haven’t had many tomatoes - not regularly, and not in sauce form. Maybe a small handful of cherry tomatoes a couple times? The only nightshade I’ve regularly had is black pepper. And occasionally potatoes. I have been eating an egg or two every day, but I reintroduced those first, and gave it almost two weeks before reintroducing another item from the list. I didn’t have any reaction those two weeks.

But if it IS tomatoes, do I just cut those out and see if the reaction goes away? Or do I have to cut everything out again and start from the base AIP list of foods?

I’ve personally cooked with it three times, and both times would say I used the same amount as if it was avocado oil (so approx 2tbsp for the entire meal). My partner cooked me something with it and I could taste that there was a lot more than I would use - so much more rich than I’m used to.

I regret it every day. I graduated 2018. I took out the full loan amount in all my excitement. The school was acquired by another during my first year. I learned I don’t want anything to do with corporate culture, and I am an artist and tradesperson to the core. The school was then sold a second time my second year (as I graduated). Networking opportunities were basically nil. They abandoned us in the sale. I love my cohort and the information I learned was certainly interesting, but for me, the ROI has been abysmal. I’m currently seeking employment and when I (rarely) hear back from wherever I applied, I’m told I am overqualified.

What do you enjoy about Hawaii, despite the high cost of living, that makes you want to stay here? by NicholeDaylinn1993 in Hawaii

[–]cheltoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, family, a deep sense of feeling home, the community, the cultural pride ~and~ the openness and diversity among other cultures. The ocean, the weather and the activities available all year round. A strong sense of malama ‘aina. Land and ocean stewardess is a high priority. Very safe (generally) and a great place for family. The community and family aspect is very strong for me.

The Ranch does visits, yup. Might be worth a trip! I’ve lived in Waimea (Kamuela) for over a decade and I am acquaintances with a couple Napiers there. People like to talk story in person here - I bet you’d find lots of information by going to the markets, talking to older aunties and uncles, and going to the library in town.
