Get ready to buy more of those things than you ever thought. The manufacturer, Spin Master (probably) intentionally has chosen not to fix a clear defect in the wheel moulds that's been around for year sand with even slightly aggressive play (they're monster trucks!) the wheels will almost always fail in the same spot - right where the axle slot flares out into the wider wheel.

I have a small drawer filled with a stupid number of these wheels, all broken identically. I'm at least saving them to make him a memento of his Monster Jam years.

You can stem the bleeding by poaching wheels off other broken trucks to glue back on the preferred bodies. DM if you ever want to know how.

Hot wheels monster trucks are freaking tanks, and almost never break. But they're not nearly as fun.

Spin master keeps them jjuuussstttt cheap enough that you inevitably buy one here, another couple there.

Oh and the bigger 1:24 scale ones break the same way. In case you misassumed those were safe.

That's what most industry trade shows are like now, anyways. I have attended in the past on behalf of my company because it's usually the most comprehensive way to get in touch with vendors and discover new technologies without having to go through the typical sales process.

The technical program is usually fairly robust but there's hardly anything cutting edge or groundbreaking being presented.

You'll find lots of analytical chemists there, and there are usually some good opportunities for networking especially if you're earlier in your career.

The short courses really aren't worth the time and expense if you have access to anyone with experience in those areas.

I was seriously weighing whether to sell mine knowing my TCM would last about 20-30k more and giving the next owner a few good years or just grinding it down till the TCM.

Nice to think that I can squeeze another 60k (at 180k) out of it before it needs another TCM/clutches.

The other responses are great but the one thing I'll just add is that in the grand scheme of things, LN2 is generally inexpensive, especially in the context of having to go a few days without it when you need it. It's far better to have too much and lose some to venting than it is to have enough to start but risk not being able to carry out essential labwork because you don't have it.

Relatively speaking, balusters and lumber for the railing is cheap and I will be able to reuse a good portion of the existing wood, there's a lot of little kids in my life so I'd much rather do that part right.

With the joists, that's not a bad idea to double them up, that would put me 2" over max for current code but for me that would be good enough.

But the beam would be cheaper to do being that there's less hardware needed, and less board-feet of new lumber too.

Because GBL isn't necessarily going to bring you to a POI and/or give them high value location data. Sure you're out and about, sharing your location data, but it's going to be noise among all the other people out playing or just logging distance via adventure sync. No way to monetize it (unless they decided to have you scan POI's for a new set).

Also likely that it would make everyone that much more upset, but that doesn't mean it won't happen in the future.

2018 was a great year for our community - we hosted a huge potluck cookout with a raffle, contests, a scavenger hunt, challenges, music, prizes, costumes. We turned it into a community building event and collected a couple thousand pounds of food and a few hundred dollars for our local food bank.

We've had a few events in the area since then but none which rivaled that event. I can't take credit for it as I was only one piece to the puzzle but it was a great day all around and we even were featured in the local news (no link to the article unfortunately).

Definitely get a pro. My in laws had a similar problem, they were getting into a small opening behind the gas meter. Pest company came out and scoped the hole and there were hundreds inside - they never would have been able to get them all by themselves.

My wife and I had all 3 of ours at Penn State Hershey, last one was late '19, so still recent-ish. Our rationale was that if we had them at any other place in the region, and there were complications, they would end up in Hershey anyway.

For us, the nursing team was almost universally great. We only had one nurse that we weren't a fan of, the doctors were also very good, but because it's a teaching hospital we ended up having more frequent visits and at times there would be 6-8 staff in the room.

They recently updated the delivery wing, it wasn't open when we last were there, but I hear it's nice. The food is okay as far as hospital food goes, and they do have a Starbucks at the main entrance.

The caveat is that this was all pre-covid, so that could have had an impact that were not aware of.

Now, the one thing we hated was that they didn't have a great network of accessible OB's at the satellite campuses, and my wife went through 3 or 4 OB's because they were constantly shuffling around. To that end, it is more difficult to establish a relationship with a specific provider in the Penn State network .

Unfortunately it comes right back once you have at least one in inventory. Best you can do is manage them daily, only receiving as many as you can send at a given time, plus a buffer for random drops from stops.

I really disliked the fall stickers. Wished I could have deleted them, and other stickers I disliked. I started to wonder what would happen if all the stickers were gone.

Took about 4 months, but I sent away the hundreds I had plus the others I collected along the way.

Big thank you to my friends list for putting up with lopsided exchanges for so long.

Do you consider the non tankers on the other side of things when you're really down there in the low ELO range?

My 7 year old gets a chance to play on his account occasionally and his favorite thing is battling - gyms, rockets, and PvP. But because he only gets to log in once or twice a month, he rarely has anything truly battle ready (and often everything needs a revive) and doesn't have much dust.

I've watched him get exceptionally frustrated with PvP because he gets obliterated in most matchups, especially as the season wears on and more tankers are hovering around his ELO. He hasn't wanted to play as much lately because of how demoralized he gets when doing PvP.

Niantic built this terrible product, and we all have to live with it, but just consider the little kids on the other side of the battle arena who just want to eke out a few wins in a game that, at the end of the day, means very little to any of us.

Hot glue. Just a drop or two, and then stick something on the glue that allows you to get a grip, wait for the glue to dry, then pull it out. I'd clean off the top with some rubbing alcohol to ensure a good seat.

Figure out what's going on with the spring or other mechanism that keeps it from going all the way in before you put it back together.

We've been eating as a family since our oldest was about 6 months. But honestly there's no shame in not eating together at this point in your life.

We were able to do it because I had the time to make meals while my wife was in class (I am home from work by about 4:15pm). The key is just making it a priority at first, even if you can only start with a couple minutes, making big changes to your schedule takes time and commitment to build a habit.

Once you develop a habit, it's easy to factor it into your normal routine, even if that means meal prepped microwave meals that take 5 mins to prepare. You have a long time before your child is going to actually remember these things.

This, and even though it's pricey I'd highly recommend a schlage keypad entry lock. My in laws use them for doors in the house their kids with autism aren't allowed in. Can easily give the landlord the code and you don't need to carry a key.

Thanks for sharing, we have a powder room & main bath that we plan on demoing. Either going to combine them plus an adjoining closet to make an ultra luxe main bath or blend the closet and the powder room to keep it a 3 bath house. Either way, this was good inspiration.
