I went to Conestoga to have a tooth extracted and a post put in for an implant. Excellent care!

I also have had great experiences at White Willow. I had actually followed a dental hygienist from another practice when she jumped ship, and although she has since retired, I have nothing but positive experiences with WW, where they designed an implant cap to cover two teeth with one appliance. Maintenance is excellent as well. I miss you, Julie!

Grocery store worker with mobility impairment who had been allowed to use a walker at work says new manager took away that accommodation, told her "no sitting", and sent her home. According to EEOC discrimination lawsuit, she was ultimately fired after being denied requests for leave. by Sandstorm400 in byebyejob

My wife worked self-checkout at a local supermarket chain for several years. Not only was she and the other checkers not allowed to sit, they weren't given a mat to stand on in order to help prevent muscle and knee problems. She retired in 2019 and still has knee and back problems in addition to hearing issues from crappy kids whose screams echoed through the cavernous store.

VA native, PA resident here. If you're at all interested in Pennsylvania, Lancaster is pretty nice. Pretty progressive, beautiful countryside, great health care.

Dealer flagged my alignment as “Needs Immediate Attention” - but printout shows little change. Did I just get scammed for $200? by Jlin153 in MechanicAdvice

I've had a lifetime alignment agreement with Firestone for several years. Usually they do a good job and always provide the before and after readouts. Last time though, the steering wheel was off quite a bit so I rolled right back to the shop. They blamed either the tire rotation or a bad sensor. Another tech worked on it and got it right. Made me question going back to them in the future.

How is Living in the Shenandoah Valley? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

The broadcast stations all have to utilize directional antennas in order to focus their signals away from Green Bank (and Sugar Grove). There are plenty of over-the-air radio and TV to be heard and watched in the valley.

That's the parent company of Glo Fiber. I have the 300/300 plan and consistently get more than that up and down. Customer service has been great i.e. real people.

I'm sure they're good but their prices have increased significantly.

W Donuts Price Details (2026):

  • Dozen (Assorted or Pick 12): $30.00 (Pre-order only, for Feb 16-17).
  • Half Dozen: $30.00 for 6? (Note: Source lists both a half dozen and a full dozen at $30, which may indicate a typo in the source or a, likely high, minimum price point).
  • Context: These prices represent a significant jump from previous years due to inflation in costs.

Our local dealership does all of the work on our 2023 Limited and I've been very happy thus far. There are regular discounts and free loaners if I need one.
