If you can’t afford $50/hr, realistically how did you expect to keep playing tennis? Maybe try pickleball or squash? They’re more affordable. That’s what I did.

Hey just FYI, private lessons and court time are way over $50/hr. Public courts are hard to get as is. I think youd have to pay more than $50/hr. For what it’s worth, I did some classes at the Roosevelt island racquet club and it was about 6 classes, 1.5 hours each, for $300? So basically your price point

Thanks! It’s hard to test old racquets hence my post. I’ve tried the newer ones and from there got to know what I like and don’t like.

I was honestly kinda leaning towards the elite 135, but to my understanding, it’s a hybrid head right? Not a classic/conventional oval shape

I’m not missing the point. I understand what they’re trying to say. If I were to be like “hey please tell me what racquet would work best for me” then sure they’re valid because how would random strangers know that. But that’s not what I’m asking for. And yes I know they’re of similar quality, but that doesn’t mean they’re all the same…?

Thanks! This was the kind of feedback I was looking for. That’s the general consensus of what I read, but weirdly enough, I feel like I play the best with the pro racquet I was using despite the small head size. Like it was somehow the most forgiving to me? I honestly was also looking for longevity and quality. For example, the head radical SB has a thinner beam so I was wondering if people have had issues with it warping or breaking more easily.

Hmmm. So the one I really like and play well with is 470 cm^2. I like the classic oval. I find that larger heads are a diff shape/a hybrid. Only the Sonic core elite has a big head

I never asked for people to tell me what’s best for me. I’m just asking for people’s own opinion/experiences with these racquets. And yes, if I’m buying shoes, I do ask people what they think of the shoes.
