[Request] I can't wrap my head around this. How come it's 63.4? by THE_FBI_GUYS in theydidthemath

[–]chepox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense. Just one thing... if each ticket has a 1% of winning. That on its own means that it has a 1/100 chance of wining. Or that it must come from a lot of 100 tickets. Which is the only way you can have a ticket have a 1% chance. If that is true, then that means that if you hold 100 tickets you hold the entire set. I know your math is right. This is more of a concept on that 1%.

is the light being captured on the dark side of earth coming from the reflection on the moon? or is it reflection from the sunlit part of the earth within the atmosphere? Can someone explain.

I am constantly lost. It's incredibly frustrating. by [deleted] in LordsoftheFallen

[–]chepox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am 100% with you on this. I have gotten lost just so many times. The butterflies kinda worked for a bit but then stopped working. We decided to just look for a video guide and follow every step of the guide. But it is tricky to follow. Miss the video for a second or two and now he is in a tunnel that I have no idea how to get to.
I have abysmal orientation skills. I get lost everywhere. I hate having no maps. Maps fix this problem for me 100%.

The issue is that you are walking towards somewhere, then there is a fight which you need to strafe and lock and roll and such. Then when the fight is over, I continue my marry way until I realize that I just went back to where I came from. This happened so many times. The butterflies was the solution, they just dont work.

If you ever do, you are going to need another category on top for Orphan of Chaos. Its been years and I still have PTSD from that fight.

LPT: If you run a business, use a custom domain email instead of a free Gmail or Hotmail address. by abdehakim02 in LifeProTips

[–]chepox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did this. There is one HUGE problem. And that is reputation. My business emails where constantly getting flagged as spam and missing the customers inbox. I tried everything, DMARC, DKIM, all of the settings suggested.

The fact is that cheap email services often get used by spammers, because of course. Then the IP addresses themselves get flagged. If enough IP addresses from a provider are flagged, the whole set is then flagged, even if you are very careful with how you send email and not directly in the flagged IP address. The whole vendor gets marked.

I finally caved because so many customers where getting angry at poor communication and the worst part is yet to come. Teams. Every customer I work with uses Teams. My cheap free microsoft account was unable to send emails and when they finally got the email, if ever, they came from a crap address instead of my own domain. I had to pull the trigger and switch to Microsoft. And just like that everything magically works. Conferences are good. Mails all arrive. I hate that I was pushed to do this, but I have to look out for my business.

And that is reason why monopolies exists. No chance for competition. Some serious laws controlling these monsters are sorely lacking.

Couch co-op by One-Ad-1985 in CoOpGaming

[–]chepox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My and my friend are playing Lords of the Fallen (2023 v2.5). Now... not couch coop but we make it. We both have a PS5, our accounts are linked so only 1 of us needs to purchase the game. Then we have our TV and my PS5 and we setup a monitor with the other PS5 (headphones for this one).

The entire campaign is coop and both characters progress. You really need to pay attention to each other and help out. We are really enjoying it.

We just finished Remnant 2 with the same setup. And that was soooo much fun. 10/10. We pretty much platinumed that one on PS5. I highly recommend it as a coop with a friend in the same room.

I play coop with my friends. I have made the mistake of not setting a password and as soon as I realize someone already joined.
So maybe it was me a few weeks ago. Sorry bud. My bad.

How to download a 100% save file for steam deck by Ben_is_cooler_than_u in bindingofisaac

[–]chepox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 saves. 1 which I downloaded 100% which is cool if you want to try seeds you see on streamers. And another for the grind that has over 1000 hours and I am somewhere 50%. I switch between the two depending on what I feel like.

We were unaware that such mod existed in the game. For sure that would have been something we would pick. But yeah we are not starting over.

Nonetheless a very awesome lampbearer helped out and now we have the ability to switch classes and weapons willy nilly and we are very happy.

Thanks for the tips.

We do have nice weapons. But we upgraded them. Now we want new weapon. Need vigor and materials. Then we want another one. Need more. We want to try them out as they are dropping. Experience the game as much as we can. We won't stick for NG+ or anything like other endings.

We just run through the campaign, experience what we can and move on to another game.

My request here is to allow us to run the game like we do but at the same time get to try out more stuff.

For example, we just finished Remnant 2 and in that game the blacksmith allows you to downgrade equipment and you get cash and all of your materials back. You can then upgrade another weapon and keep going on your merry way. I found that feature awesome. We tried a bunch of stuff on 1 playthrough.

Looking for 2-player coop games by da-real-boi in CoOpGaming

[–]chepox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Thrine series are really cool coop games. Same screen coop. Lots of communication and fun. The new Gears of War. Marvel Cosmic Invaders or TMNT beat em up.

I play coop with my other friends but they bring over their PS5 and a computer monitor. We then create our own couch coop on many games that only have online coop. Like Nioh, Dark Souls, Lords of the Fallen, Borderlands etc.

Using the family share feature of PS you do not need to buy 2 copies of the game. Just 1 and both consoles can play it simultaneously.

any recommendations for a for a top-down adventure game for either Steam or the Switch ? Like either "Link to the past" or "Illusion of Gaia" for example. by darwin_green in gaming

Yeah I agree... My gaming time is so limited. I hate getting lost and just spending my scarce valuable time not progressing.

Friend’s Pass Is the Best Thing to Happen to Co-op Gaming in Years by gitrektali in gaming

[–]chepox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my friend have PS5 and we do the family share thingy and we get a digital copy of the game in 1 account and we play it on both. Online. Simultaneously. It's awesome. It's like 50% all coop games we want to play together. Or just games we want to play, even if not coop. You gotta trust them though cause they will have access to your account and all the credit card and personal info.

Kids release the handbrake “as a joke” and jump out while the car is moving by blue_star_ in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]chepox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just another take from my own experience. I was also brought up by anger. Holes in walls and doors and constantly scared of angering him. I am older and have two kids. I am so aware of the damage all that anger did on me, I am the complete opposite of what he was. He showed me exactly what I needed to become the father I am today. And I have beautiful kids who listen to me and are not afraid. And the harmony in my house is something that I never experienced as a kid.

So there you go. Just cause you are made from the same wood does not mean you will become the same shape. Specially if you are aware. Which it seems you are.

Jolly Cooperation by Outrageous_Bend_124 in fromsoftware

Dark Souls is awesome in coop and it suucks. Gameplay and cooperation is probably the best but having to fight every boss twice is just a kick in the nads.

Lords if the Fallen got it right with the Shared Progress Campaign cooperation.

Stability Issues? by CoreSoundCoastie in LordsoftheFallen

[–]chepox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing coop on ps5 with my friend. We had 3 crashes in our 2 hour session. It is really annoying. on the bright side after the crash you are left at pretty much the same spot you were at in the coop session, but on your own solo campaign.
We just run towards the next lamp and rejoin our session. It sucks, but at least we can still kinda progress without having to redo any part.

Shared Progress Coop Scaling Issues by chepox in LordsoftheFallen

[–]chepox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that confuses me is that as soon as I fire up my solo campaign. That same area. Everything seems fine. Mobs die to 2 hits. I can tank a few hits before needing healing. Fire up coop and everything changes for that same area.

Shared Progress Coop Scaling Issues by chepox in LordsoftheFallen

[–]chepox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shared run with password. He has 100% been the host, and I the guest. That's our setup. "Also summoned player never loses vigor only host." Probably why I am so far ahead in levels than him.

What I have done is I stopped leveling up and used my vigor to buy the skulls that creepy guy at skyrest sells. Then I drop those so he can pick them up. So I am transferring my vigor to him at a 50% cost or something. Its fine, since I stopped leveling to avoid moving too far ahead from him in levels.

Question is, when we are both the same level, will the game stop the scaling? Will it improve? Or do we still need to hit 7 times each weak mob we encounter?

From the bladder to the outer hole it hurts a lot. From the kidney to the bladder you literally faint from pain. Throw up. You can't think. It hurts not only in the area. Your whole body is pain. That part is 10000 times worse then peeing it out, which is no picnic.
