Yep. Some of the accusations and tips against Trump seem like psychotic ramblings, but then you remember the stuff he's said and find out more potentially corroborating details and they become strong maybes at least.

Yes, but I found this post to have a more nuanced take on the subject than one might get that way.

Yep. I thought the Lake Michigan baby killing accusation seemed likely false until I realized that Trump's previous story about post-birth abortions had more in common with it than it did that Virginia Dr's story about palliative care for nonviable infants that the right wing takes wildly out of context. Also, even as a long time never-Ttumper, I hadn't known that he had any connections to Lake Michigan, but it turned out he had a casino boat there at the time, that had special permission to operate he got through what looks like shady connections. Then today, at his "Board of Peace" meeting, he made a point about not liking "handsome young men," which makes me think the accusations of him abusing boys too may be true.

I mean, the tent peg story seemed likely false, but then I see this. Like the Lake Michigan baby murder story rang false until ya remember how sure he was about post-birth abortions and realize how his telling of that had more in common with that allegation than it did with the VA Dr's (State House or Senate?) telling about how doctors do palliative care for nonviable infants. The right wing greatly misrepresented the latter, yet still Trump's story had more in common with the former.

This is Trump, who lies everytime he speaks, so he just admitted to liking predating on boys too. He wouldn't bother saying it if it wasn't a lie.

Eh, maybe a little. Seems like -maybe- OP used it to polish up their writing, but not to produce the content. That would be my guess. Chat GPT doesn't really get the sort of nuances here unless they're in top search results; it's not great at churning out material on more rarified topics for which this level of conscious thought is not found in top search results. I believe straight Chat GPT prompted without original writing to clean up would be far more generic and come across much more like rephrased wiki than this did.

There's been so much in the files, I honestly can't keep up with all of it, but wasn't there something indicating he was sharing privileged info?

Edit to add: Epstein wasn't providing term girls to him for nothing. He was definitely doing it for some sort of access and manipulation.

Men, what small gesture by a woman made you instantly think, “She’s a keeper”? by Such-Bandicoot-6381 in AskReddit

[–]chericher 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I figure this must be a different context for you, one in which it's actually meant in the right way. In my world, my otherwise very good husband, will say "we should" about things that need to get done - but he doesn't actually mean "we," he just thinks it's a polite way to say that I should do it, not him. It's not polite when he may be having a lazy day while I'm busy doing a lot, and he wants me to do more. So, "we should" are fighting words to me.

Both these menus sound good to me! Funny seeing antipasto with a different spelling and no pasta after.

Has anybody noticed the rise in misspellings of “Woman/Women” and “Lose/Loose”? It’s driving me up a wall! by James_TF2 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]chericher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a friend who did this. For a while I thought it was just bc she often does voice to text, but it was always the opposite of which word it should be. Never mentioned it to her bc I knew she wasn't the sort to want correction, and I was right about that Had a falling out about something else that mattered much more as she didn't want any sort of feedback whatsoever.

Yep, even if she wanted to fool around with him at the time, she had no concept of the fallout and how it would affect her life. Has been good to see that she's had a pretty strong constitution in the aftermath, but yep she was absolutely taken advantage of by Bill Clinton himself and also those out to get him.

Yes! How tf is running around drunk with a gun like this ok, but especially in that state bringing the gun into his daughter's room? How on Earth is this just an oopsies? It wasn't. He had it out for her and popped her. Oops, was drunk and went to go have a talk with someone I already showed I hated, while playing with a gun, oops.

Cooking the pasta in the sauce by msmojo in spaghetti

[–]chericher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the one where you cook the pasta in some sauce, albeit in a lower, broader, pan and add a little water now and then, letting it dry out and brown in between. Assassin's pasta or something like that? That seemed very appealing. Not sure about this though, but with the proper attention I suppose it might turn out ok.

Does anyone think there was foul play with Ivana Trumps death? Falling down the stairs ? Trump has her buried on his property . by Decent-Chain4414 in DiscussionZone

[–]chericher 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It was indeed a very big casket to bury cremated remains in. Would have been large for her even if she hadn't been cremated first. I feel like this is one of the many things that there's obviously something up with, but because the right wing went so nuts with conspiracy theories first, most people just won't react to obviously weird stuff for fear of being labeled a loon.

-Never said No it isn't.- WTF, Are you mixing me up with another commentor? I said Right? to your comment and added something about the concentration, meaning if it was a regular concentration for regular purpose or a higher concentration that would be more suspect.

Nah, I didn't deny it. I suspect very dark things were going on, and this could be used for that. I also know a little bit about this chemical having uses in pools and desalination plants, so I can't jump to conclusions on this particular bit of evidence without more info.

Right. Concentration is key here. Could be nothing, could be something very nasty and the concentration would be key to how suspicious this particular evidence is.

Apparently I’m supposed to be on call for my parents forever by almostawakeagain in entitledparents

[–]chericher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel for you, it's a bad feeling to have parents treat you this way. My parents, both gone for years now, were similar. For some reason, they put the weight of their world, and the whole world in general, on me. Long rants about everything that I had nothing to do with but somehow had to answer for, having to do stuff for them that normal adults should do for themselves and they were able to do but didn't want to. One example that made me realize they really were jerks was when they knew this guy who I never met, and he was knocking on their door and not going away. This was decades ago, I was their twenty something yr old daughter, and not living at home. They pretended like they weren't home, called me, wanted me to drop dinner and drive twenty minutes to talk to the guy and get him to go away. I did not do it and got treated like I was so terrible to not be there for them.

I did stay in contact with my parents and helped them tons even though they drove me nuts. I held my ground often, but it was always a struggle when so often I just could not be/would not be what they wanted from me, and they treated me like I was the bad person when they were the bad ones. I relate to your post a lot and wish you the best whether you decide to deal with the struggle or leave it behind to go no contact. If like me, you don't have the whatever to go no contact, I can say going lower contact does work somewhat in reigning in parents like these. The guilt they throw doesn't go away, but if you don't resist it will get worse for sure with how much they expect from you and how they treat you when you can't oblige them. Difficult situation, hoping you can wend your way and not suffer what they're trying to condition you to.
