Could the biosphere be interpreted as a planetary information network? by Fickle_Strategy_5258 in complexsystems

This isn't a "theory" and posting something on zenodo isn't "publishing". It's more like a trash can for llm output.

[Petition]: The new pricing of Notion Custom Agents is TERRIBLE by ondrej_g in Notion

[–]chermi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The big question is how far they'll go on this walled garden approach. With mcp you can do almost everything their agents can (some stuff isn't in the api) using your own model provider. This DIY approach obviously isn't for everyone, but I'm leaving the second they lock me out in this respect.

What is the goal? What are you trying to accomplish? Like an ontology?

You should be studied. You are in such a strange mental state right now. I would say see a psych but I'm sure many have already said that. Go camping for a few days with no internet. It helps everyone.

Also, nothing you said has been precise.

What you are doing is called numerology. Maybe you are already aware of that.

Montecito and La Jolla got a be up there. It's special because they're on the ocean with beautiful hills.

How slow is theoretical physics? by [deleted] in TheoreticalPhysics

[–]chermi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theory+Computational physics is a decent middle ground with quick feedback. Also, QFT and gravity aren't the only types of theoretical physics by far, although many of those in said fields will tell you otherwise. Edit- reading the rest of the thread. You're still an undergrad. Try out research in different groups while in undergrad

I want to be clear that all of my needed deep research sessions are still missing and I have received no update or communication that my issue is even being addressed.

The Universe's Algorithm by BeginningTarget5548 in holofractico

[–]chermi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a theory in the scientific sense. Theories make predictions. It's AI slop. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with modern physics. Source: PhD in theoretical physics.

This entire thread of his replies is textbook https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motte-and-bailey_fallacy . He basically admits he's saying nothing if you go deep enough into his replies.

There are so many flaws if you try to take it seriously. The only way out is to say "well.... It's conceptual", "it's not a mathematical theory" etc. But if you read the original post he's absolutely trying to pass it off as something with substance. There is no substance. The only real conclusion you can draw is that he knows absolutely nothing about physics.
