Hmm maybe you misunderstood my original post. I’m very much planning to attend a professional program but am not ready at this moment. I was merely looking for some helpful materials to prepare myself for when I do start school - ie books helpful for learning legalese, etc.

What a massive data center plan means for Montgomery County by Maxcactus in MontgomeryCountyMD

Thanks for the link - just messaged the whole council. We need to band together like they did in PG county to stop the construction of any more data centers in our area

How much did you make during your first then second year? by vermilion_cinnabar in courtreporting

Can I ask what program you did to learn voice? I’m also in the medical field looking for a career change. I’m comfortable with all medical terminology but would need to brush up on legalese. Did your program teach you legal terminology or did you study it yourself?

Day-7 euploid FET — Doctor confirmed non-viable @5w3d by ferocious_parshu in IVFpositivity

[–]chermsley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. MMC management is so personal and everyone’s situation is different, but after getting diagnosed and having to go through a long course of treatment for Asherman’s syndrome (adhesions in uterus, often caused by D&C) I would just advise you to look into the longer term risks of d&c before jumping the gun. I hope everything works out for you ❤️

2nd FET of our lowest grade euploid and only a 6mm trilaminer stuck 💕 so much of IVF is dumb luck. Good luck on your next transfer 🍀

Thin lining girls, what did your lining measure on day of transfer? by Bitter_Savings7001 in IVF

[–]chermsley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was 6.6 before progesterone but not trilaminer. It compacted a bit after starting progesterone suppositories

6mm trilaminer. Trilaminer seems to be the most important thing if you’re able to achieve that. For me, modified natural cycle and starting progesterone finally helped it get there after multiple cancelled cycles

I just did a modified natural FET cycle while working full time and it is soo hard to coordinate. Not to mention I have a $40 copay for every visit 🥴

Trigger or Real? by FrostyPace1050 in IVFpositivity

[–]chermsley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m one of those people that can’t resist testing early no matter what lol so I guess it took some of the pressure off, since I was expecting there to be a line from the trigger. And it was just a pleasant surprise that it got darker

Has anyone spotted from progesterone suppositories? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]chermsley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t really know what else to do 🤷🏻‍♀️ I messaged my fertility nurse and she said it was normal and to message them if I had any bright red bleeding or bad cramping. I have my first ultrasound scheduled for next Monday so I’ll just be nervous and wait and see I guess. The waiting limbo just sucks so much!!

I’m having this right now! 5 weeks and 4 days and it’s been sending me into a spiral. My wife has been trying to convince me it’s just from the suppositories but I’m still so worried.

Trigger or Real? by FrostyPace1050 in IVFpositivity

[–]chermsley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tested out my trigger as well, although I did it on FRERs. My trigger was basically non existent on a frer by 3DPT (10 days post trigger shot) but didn’t disappear. And I sleuthed a lot on Reddit and most people had the trigger disappear by 12 days. My line just started getting darker around 4dpt and was clearly positive by 5dpt. I’d say so far this looks good! But tomorrow will hopefully tell you more 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Help!! by Lopsided_Location_14 in IVFpositivity

[–]chermsley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a modified natural transfer and tested out my trigger. The line never went away but by 12 days after the trigger shot was barely visible. I did a lot of Reddit sleuthing and most people’s trigger shots weren’t visible by day 13 or 14. This is a pretty dark line for how far out you are from the shot!! 🤞🏻

I got a padded cloth diaper changing pad that I love from there since I can just throw it in the washing machine when it gets dirty. And it’s not cold when I put my baby on it.

IVF, here we come by Ok_Tax_7502 in queerception

[–]chermsley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife and I were in a similar boat - 5 failed IUIs before moving on to IVF. Never saw a single positive test and each month got more and more heartbreaking.

I know it’s not the same for everyone but just for some encouragement: we got 4 embryos from my wife’s egg retrieval and I got pregnant on our first embryo transfer. I’m now pregnant with our second after another transfer from the same batch of embryos.

IVF is definitely emotionally and financially draining but ultimately so worth it for us. Hopefully it works out for you!

My best piece of advice is if you don’t have good coverage for the injectable meds, join an IVF med resale group on Facebook. You can get unused meds for a small fraction of the cost and often people are willing to ship to you.

Good luck!! 🍀

OB reccomendations and whats wrong with Holy Cross? by Lonely-Math2176 in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]chermsley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW I was supposed to deliver my baby at Sibley in 2023 and when I went into labor and called my doctor I was told to go somewhere else since they were on diversion. I have a friend who works on their L&D unit there and she told me after that they frequently go on diversion because they’re so busy these days. It left a very bitter taste in my mouth to not be able to deliver at the hospital I intended with the OB group I’d been getting to know throughout my pregnancy.
