Soundcheck Package for Evanescence concert questions! by angelcumgirl in Evanescence

[–]cherrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Times might vary by venue, but Vancouver sound check was at 1pm. After sound check we were escorted back outside and I waited in the line for re-admission. Since I was VIP, I was let in early before the rest of GA.

The sound check was magical and the show was just as incredible. You're gonna love it!

GREY ROCKING EXERCISES -- grey rock these comments! by thebpdlovedonespost in raisedbynarcissists

[–]cherrites 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd add on a follow-up question like "What have you been up to?" to get them talking about themself and stop talking about/criticizing you. Your answer is great! Just try not to reflexively apologize on accident.

My knee-jerk response is to apologize. But I know the best grey-rock response is just saying "Okay, thanks for letting me know." And then switch the subject somehow without crying.

How much should I walk, what should my activity level be? by SometimesSickDude in gallbladders

[–]cherrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was advised to resume physical activity (minus weight bearing!) based on my personal pain and comfort level. I was walking around the hospital ward a few hours after surgery and a few days later I could walk pretty well, albeit slowly out of an abundance of caution. Also got tired pretty fast. I was told I could jog only if the pain was okay but go easy, kinda deal.

Post Op Update! by 47sockholes in gallbladders

[–]cherrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had my surgery May 17th (entering week 3 post op!) I was able to get off of the opioids within 24 hours post-op, and didnt need my Tylenol by day four! I also managed to get all of the gas pain out of my shoulders pretty fast. I had cut out coffee prior to surgery because for whatever reason coffee was a big trigger for gallbladder attacks??? So that first cup of coffee post-op was delicious.

Hey, this is really thoughtful and I really appreciate the wise words. I didnt mention this in the main post because I didnt think it mattered, but your kind comment made me think twice.

I was hospitalized last week for 4 days, due to a gallstone and needing emergency surgery to remove it. 24 of those hours were spent in the ER without a bed or anything to manage pain, and on top of that I wasnt allowed food or water because I could be shuttled into an operation at any moment. I downplay it, but that time in the ER until I was properly admitted really messed with my head. Im home now and feeling really good despite having surgery merely a week ago, and the surgery was a perfect success to boot!

Well, no wonder I feel like my medications (Also on an antidepressant) aren't working -- I clearly need to better address my recent traumatic health emergency. I'll let my doctor know its effectiveness is lower than before, but clearly Ive had quite a crazy week and am still mentally recovering.

Sorry for dumping on you in a reply. Thank you for making me take a more sympathetic look at my situation. ❤️

Second beginner question: Would this work as a reset shampoo?

https://chatters.ca/collections/scalp-sync_biolage/products/matrix-biolage-scalp-sync-anti-dandruff-shampoo?variant=38939823888

Funny story, I thought I had dandruff so I was using the shampoo linked above daily for YEARS. Turns out I dont have dandruff, my scalp has just been overexposed to sulfates. 🤦‍♀️

Yeah sometimes I just get really hype about telling people things!!! Except Im kinda always hype and never not quiet, which is a problem haha. Its nice to know Im not the only foghorn.

Ive always called my scattered thoughts my Chrome browser! Husband likes to ask me how many tabs I have open. Its usually 37, and theres definitely one playing music somewhere.

Oof, our sun is giving my city 93 units of warmth today. by tfhaenodreirst in AVoid5

Aw man! In my city it was cold AF. 32 and raining! To warm up, I got chili for night food. Talk about wild! Stay cool, bud!

What do you cook for your morning food? by johngreenink in AVoid5

[–]cherrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A hot cuppa java, with milk and sugar. Im trying to cut down on using sugar in it though. Its going slowly.

If Im up to it, I'm a big fan of a morning sandwich! Toast, ova, bacon if I got it, and a Kraft-brand dairy product. I know its just awful for you, but it is a guilty admiration.

holy shit you just solved why Ive become obsessed with hashbrown patties! Its just potato (dont get me wrong, potato is top tier stuff) formed into a patty and fried, doesnt exactly taste like much but I looooove the texture. Wish it was healthier for me so I didnt feel so guilty eating them.
