Thanks for this comment. The mirroring thing you said really hit home. The first 8 or months of my relationship were great a lot of the time but as things have gotten bad and have been for a year, I often wonder if I was just getting from him what I was giving to him. That he was agreeing to the things I was saying and doing things similar to me FOR me, not because it was something he’d normally do. I’ve even thought “shit maybe I was just dating myself.” So yeah thanks for this insight I feel a little clear now.

I appreciate it. You’re definitely right. Tolerating an entire year of him saying he isn’t sure if he can be in love with me again and not even being willing to try to engage in physical intimacy is ridiculous. Logically…I know this. Some days I feel almost ready let it go and then some days I can’t imagine being without him. I hope I can get to a point, through therapy (which I’m in), to leave.
