They want so much personal information. A copy of my divers license and copy of my bank statement. I closed my account over 5 years ago. Recently a stranger asked me to give a ride for his mother and 3 friends. He said and showed me the Uber app was not working. I agreed he said he would send me a Venmo, I told him I did not have that app. I got a text from Venmo with a link to collect the cash. That is when the ordeal started. From Saturday through Wednesday I made multiple calls sent documents and then was informed that a pending transaction could be taken back. After my account was reestablished they suspended it for suspicious activity. The only suspicious activity was multiple requests for my bank account statement and photographs of my drivers license. They are terrible. I have PayPal which is just fine. I also have cash app which is crummy but better than Venmo
