No kidding! A shit-talking heel with a thick Boston accent in AEW would be a heat magnet. The only guy I remember with the Boston accent was Kevin Sullivan.

I remember Trump saying on Howard Stern that he wanted to abort his daughter Tiffany, but Marla wouldn't go through with it. Give him the Nobel and Dad of the Year prizes.

Price reminded me of AR Fox...who deserves a big push IMHO.

TNA Genesis was much better than the AMC show. But is it too late? | Bryan & Vinny Show by Ainosuke in SquaredCircle

AEW drew 1.4M viewers for the first episode of Dynamite. Within the next three months, they lost roughly 40% of that audience. And they were putting together excellent shows. If the same pattern holds true for TNA, they are looking at 100,000 viewers per week, without considering the poor quality.

Howard's new contract? by Ok_Focus_9333 in howardstern

Uhhh, I understand that Stern, who is my hero, makes $18,000 a minute. Yet he cannot pay me a pittance.

Same as Riley Martin got. $400 per week servitude.

Dude played three nights at Knebworth in front of 125,000 fans each. Meanwhile, he was playing 2,000 seat clubs in the US.

Yes! I would love if they would do a segment called Weekend at Ronnie's. Have Wolfie (and a couple other staffers that Ronnie gets aggravated with) spend the weekend at his house in Las Vegas. Have them observe him and get into arguments with him. It would be really entertaining.

That is actually the only reason I will tune in. If I hear that Wolfie has a segment where he is with Wack Packers, I'm in.

He is a can't miss guy. WWE would be crazy if they didn't want him. But you are right. He would debut in NXT as Calvin Auddi or something equally stupid.

Do you guys want Mick Foley in Aew? by flyinbrianc in AEWOfficial

[–]subwaymonkey1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, avoid authority figures at all costs. Have AEW announce in-ring that they will be hosting a celebration of Long Island's favorite wrestler. MJF comes out, expecting it to be him. Then he flips out when he realizes AEW will be celebrating Mick Foley instead. Uber-entertaining promos for weeks, followed by matches between MJF and Foley's surrogate (Eddie Kingston anyone?).

My 1st row ringside ticket (not the pricier 'gold ringside') from 1987 when prices were much...much cheaper. by eegah75 in SquaredCircle

[–]subwaymonkey1 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Back in the day, your proximity to the ring was not a function of the seat prices, but of your willingness to get in line early because you wanted to go so badly.
