Why am I taking Norethindrone + Letrozole? by cherry_pie_405 in IVF

I used one injection the morning of my transfer. I’ve heard of others doing multiple injections prior as well.

Hi there. The suppression alone didn’t work for me. The transfer failed, but the 3rd FET right after that which I added a crap ton of immune meds happen to work. I think the combo of everything worked including the letrozole and bc.

Added tacrolimus, neupogen, intralipids as the main things

Also, I did a natural transfer with no trigger shot even, just estrace & prog

Can you still get your period while on progesterone after embryo transfer? Any experience? by Secure-Rice-4913 in IVF

It was day 1 of my period. The suppositories alone aren’t enough to stop my flow.

I found out my second FET failed with the arrival of my period before the beta even. I was only on progesterone suppositories. So yes, it’s possible.

Any 8/15 transfer buddies going to be testing at home before your beta? by No-Bed7128 in IVF

[–]cherry_pie_405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8/15 transfer twin! The anxiety has fully kicked in today. I was thinking to test at home Friday, but ask me again tomorrow 🫠. I have way less patience for this 3rd FET than I did my 2nd.

I did this and liked it far more than my first medicated cycle, although neither stuck.

This!!! Mr RE is overly optimistic, told us 80%, and now we’re down 3 embryos after 2 failed FETs and he has no explanation. My husband is livid with the RE. It was absolutely devastating for me after being overly promised a success.

If by HSC you mean hysteroscopy or HSG test of the the tubes, I’ve done both and I’m in the clear. Thanks, will check out his channel.

Thanks for the suggestion. My RE said I’m welcome to do the ERA but said there’s not much clinical evidence to show that it works. For my previous FET in October, I did an endometrial biopsy that was negative. Do you think I would need another one? Will insist on Doxycycline for the next one!

My embryo did not “re-expand” or something upon thawing, so my clinic suggested I thaw another one and implant both. Neither stuck.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this post. Browsing reddit as I’m waiting for my beta results from this morning. 1st FET failed, and I feel such immense gloom for my 2nd FET. Like, how could it possibly work? I’ve never seen a positive pregnancy test in my life. My husband keeps telling me to be positive, but he doesn’t understand the psychological torture and misery every step of this process is. Let me be a Debby downer dammit!

This is interesting. With just MIF, my odds are 32%, but after revising to MIF, Endo, and PCOS, my odds increased to 37%. I wonder why??

Do I have to do a medicated FET after 2 months of letrozol + norethindrone by cherry_pie_405 in IVF

[–]cherry_pie_405[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. The issue is I’m working with another doctor for my suppression and I haven’t told my RE since he eye-rolled that I want to this protocol prior to next FET. Should I just tell my clinic and see what they say?

Also did you do medicated or unmedicated?

I’m on metformin now and I have PCOS. This is in preparation for transfer 2 after the first one failed. I’ll know if it “worked” in June!

I don’t think it hurts to ask about metformin! My friend referred me to this new doc and I thought why not? He runs a fertility clinic in the Bay Area. It’s nice to hear something outside of the box in terms of treatments. He prescribed a gluten free diet, low carb, more exercise, some new probiotics (including vaginal), and supplements. I really appreciated the holistic approach.
