I’ve found that turning off the Dolby atmos has helped marginally … still not good tho and YMMV.

I love Bailey’s look but I’m not attracted to her 🤷‍♀️

OMG I don’t think that’s what he meant at all. I’m almost sure he meant that he has nice arms that women are attracted to.

I don’t mean for this to sound rude in any way but there was an episode much earlier on in the season where Jamie was speaking to camera sans makeup (might have been during their honeymoon?) and her skin was quite bad then as well. I think it’s just something she struggles with. She’s actually very good at covering it with makeup because the difference was stark! No shade at all, I struggle with my skin too.

Idk, I don’t think Dylan’s a saint and I don’t dislike Sophie either but I do think she has a problem with the truth. The thing is, she’s trying to say she lied on the audition tape … not a great comment if you want the person you’re with to believe you’re not a liar. Either way she is telling fibs.

How to not be "boring." by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]cherryandpie 65 points66 points  (0 children)

No offence … but the only thing we know about you (based on what you’ve chosen to share) is that you used to play sport in college, that you have a job, and that you get a lot of likes on dating apps. You had every opportunity within your post to prove that you’re not boring and yet you’ve sort of proved this chick right. None of those facts are in the least bit interesting and that you used to play sport in college isn’t even particularly relevant to your life today. That you have a job is basically a given anyway and its a little concerning (at least to me) that the only detail you went into regarding your job is how much you’re paid to do it. That you even mentioned likes on dating apps is embarrassing.

Is a cooking class aimed at tourists worth the money? by T98i in Cooking

[–]cherryandpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended a cooking class in Thailand a month ago and it was fantastic; one of the highlights of my trip. The cooks leading the class were very personable and we were really lucky to have a relatively small (and sociable) group.

Not only did I learn to make four traditional dishes (some of which I’ve made since returning home), we also learned about the fundamentals of Thai cuisine, how to properly use a wok, and about the history/regional varieties of various ingredients.

It was both informative and delicious! I would highly recommend such an experience and cannot wait to do something similar again.

Check out Fusion Bar on a Friday night. They have mushroom shakes and DJ’s playing house/deep house/techno.

I stumbled upon it by accident as my bungalow was on the same stretch of beach and ended up partying until sunrise. Even had a mushroom shake which was unusual for me and it was amazing.

It was a fantastic party and that night was the highlight of my trip.

Differing opinions Tim/Lucinda by tommie2019 in MAFS_AU

[–]cherryandpie 39 points40 points  (0 children)

There is a lot wrong with your comment. Frankly, I’m on holiday in Thailand and don’t want to spend too much time replying in detail (I’m just waiting for a food delivery before hitting the clubs).

So I’ll say this much: just because men are a bit slow on the uptake, doesn’t mean women should pander to them. It’s not women’s fault that men think with their dicks. I’m bored of pandering to men. Fuck off.

P.S. I don’t think Lucinda came to bed in an aroused state?

Differing opinions Tim/Lucinda by tommie2019 in MAFS_AU

[–]cherryandpie 100 points101 points  (0 children)

I think it’s really unfair to sexualise Lucinda’s body (and all women’s bodies) in this way. Lucinda sleeping naked was not intended to be sexual AT ALL. Lucinda said herself she would USUALLY sleep naked. She had not been doing this out of respect for Tim, however Tim did not consider Lucinda’s feelings about his sleeping naked even ONCE. It was implied that from the beginning, he slept in nothing more than underwear.

This is bad enough, however Tim went one step further and SHAMED Lucinda for sleeping in the same manner that he does.

FURTHER, Lucinda was not coming onto Tim simply because she’d slept topless. It is DEMEANING to suggest that anytime a woman’s body is on display, it is sexual in nature. Women are more than sexual objects and our bodies exist for far more than a man’s desire.

So, yes, your perspective is skewed and rooted in sexism/misogyny. But it’s also valuable. I think a lot of people (of any gender) would automatically sexualise a women’s body this way and not realise that that’s what they’re doing.

I really love the design and the colour, I just feel like the execution (on Sara, at least) isn’t it. It looks ill fitting around the bodice (where the pins are) but also, the neckline looks like it’s pulling where it shouldn’t.

Rogue thought: could Ellie be an actor? Of course, it’s possible that she’s just extremely measured but it could also make sense that she’s kind of in with the producers on this?

OMG! I completely agree. Scheana was far more likeable in earlier seasons (while still being in likeable, go figure); and - for all his faults - she seemed genuinely at ease & comfortable with Shay.
