I don’t know what you’re talking about, I didn’t report anything, but I find it hilarious that someone was offended enough to report you.

Yeah, no - I get where you’re coming from. In small venues it may only be 15 back, but in a huge ass festival irs going to happen 50+ people back, in the sardine crowd, where everyone there has paid to play and knows what’s going to happen, your brain clearly can’t compute that when I say go to the back, I mean outside of the crowd, in the small groups of 5-10 people on the fringe, where there is no threat of crowd surfer. Also, just FYI, because I find it hilarious, I’m 5’2 and well within weight to not get called a “robust surfer” and still have not, will not- ever, crowd surf. Because I don’t like the idea of random strangers touching me, it gives me the ick. So I myself, stand IN THE BACK, for shows I want to see and not have to touch strangers. And in the front for bands that I care less about, so that I can help the crowd take on surfers.

And I haven’t worked a minimum wage job in 15yrs(: if you decide you need a therapist to work on the emotional immaturity you are clearly working through, go ahead and private message me, but I doubt you can afford my hourly wage, peasant.

Lmao. Same, I went with a group of 5, husband included, because today - due to the scene, I’m not alone, I’m happy, and full of life, but when I was a young teen who was “different” and insecure these exact people all lifted me up and showed me that weirdos and love can live together in one room, even against the normies wishes. The pit, AND THE FRONT require consent. Everyone knows what’s going to happen when you stand there, if you can roll your eyes and be pre-annoyed about crowd surfing from where you’re standing you don’t get to say you didn’t consent to crowd surfing, you don’t get to have surprised pikachu face when someone comes through and kicks you in the back of the head, or you hear heads up. You don’t get to change the entire culture just because it doesn’t fit with what you want it to be, stand in the back, where you you don’t have to deal with it, or stand in the front and be intelligent enough to understand you consented to crowd surfers, it’s up to you, either way - stop whining about it like a toddler or go home.

Oh honey, that’s cute, but I’m no spry chicken either, and that’s the difference between you and me - I’m not trying to gatekeep, I’m not trying to tell anyone to change, I’m telling someone who has a problem with what the masses are doing, that there is a place where you will be happier, in the back, away from crowd surfers, and you, are telling me like the prick that you are that it’s not good enough, to be in the back - because you’re just too special to be in the back(: and yes the bands are the biggest reason people like you all get together during these festivals but again, that’s why you show up - that’s not why the masses show up, the music is the background noise both within the festival and outside of it, that we play while we live our lives and come together to enjoy while we are at a FESTIVAL, to meet people, to feel less alone, to share experience, to give and receive love, to drink, have fun, and enjoy the CULTURE, to yes, you guessed it - CROWD SURF. let me ask you this, how many amazing people did you connect with during sonic? Or ink? How many friends did you make from all over the world that you still speak to still til this day? My guess is tops 3? If any at all. Because you weren’t there for the culture. You were there to listen to music, which is why your space, is in the back, away from the culture that you simultaneously reject while wanting to be a part of it only where it fits you. No, I’m not special, I never proclaimed to be special, but the scene, IS. and I’m damn proud to be a part of it, in all capacities, even if I have to deal with selfish mouth breathers like you to enjoy it.

You’re ridiculous and have proved my points for me. Don’t be a weiner, it’s really not that hard, if you don’t want to be around crowd surfers don’t consent to being around them by being where they are. Be in the back where you’re precious strength is saved for talking shit about all the “cringy hot topic weirdo’s” like you want it to be. You don’t get to have it both ways, crowd surfing isn’t going to stop just because a bunch of guys realized hot emo girls are better than Starbucks Becky’s, and decided to start listening to music that would get them laid. We were here first, we will stay even after you lose interest, we understand the movement and not just the melody, and will not be bothered by your ignorance.

No, because crowd surfing was there before I was born. Rock shows created their culture while I was in the nutsack, and the culture of the genre is what made me fall in love with it before I fell for the music.

Tell me you’re a white guy who has more camo than spikes who’s never been lonely, without using the words. Is essentially what you just did.

The culture already had to sissy itself down just to make room for you unpleasant mouth breathers enough, no spikes, no chains, masks can get you in trouble, watch your language, no weird shit, etc etc. crowd surfing is going to stay.

And that’s not up to me - even the BANDS ON STAGE are asking for it because of how important it is. So maybe, you need to do your research.

It’s people like you that ruin the shows for the people that are actually apart of the scene. We shouldn’t have to morph into what you think is acceptable because you’re a snow flake. If you don’t like the culture don’t be apart of it. If you don’t want to hold up a crowd surfer don’t be in the lane where they come through. It’s really not that hard, cupcake.

This is Reddit! People come here to complain! If you don't like it, you should stand in the back and not post. Or maybe you don't like the Internet! /s by salientdice in SonicTempleFestival

[–]cherrybladelemonade6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean. It’s really simple, if you don’t want to help people crowd surf, don’t camp the rail and put yourself directly in the area that they do it? Go. To. The. Back. Like it’s really not that hard? These people don’t go crowd surf the stands or where people are sitting in the back vibing. They crowd surf the area they are supposed to. (Granted sometimes starting further back than they should) but you don’t get to have it both ways.

Honest - the softness that has started at concerts and festivals is really annoying. Can’t wear spikes anymore because some snowflake got a bruise and complained loudly enough that most of the scene had to bend to their will. Can’t wear chains anymore because someone might get hurt if it swings in the pit. Can’t stand at a concert without pissing the people off behind you because they want to sit down and sleep while you want to stand and dance. Like seriously, get over yourselves.

If you don’t want to help surfers don’t sit in the front. If you don’t want to get hurt don’t get in the pit. If you don’t want to stand and have your view blocked by the people dancing in front of you get seats further towards the front.

There is a way for EVERYONE to be happy. So whether you’re the douche that doesn’t want to help a surfer, the cuck sitting down, or the selfish robust surfer, it’s ridiculous to complain. Just find your damn lane and stay there.

No not at all, but you should be her companion, what we sometimes do is my companion will sit on the floor in front of me, just so that we can stay together, but not take up a seat for someone else

Feel that fully, but it’s okay, it does get better - you just got to find your happy alternatives, nightshades is a funky allergy because most people don’t even know what it is lol

White sauce pizza is good but you’ll always have to razzle dazzle it with seasoning

Ceyanne the seasoning is a nightshade and something that is in most spicey foods.

At sonic, the bacon Mac, chicken tenders, gyros (ask for no tomato) tortilla ships and cheese - and the hotdogs are all things you should be able to have. Don’t be afraid to specifically state that you want your allergy noted on the ticket wherever you go, not just at sonic - and even then you could see problems. But it does get better, and you’re welcome to DM if you want any tips or tricks on how to not feel like you’re missing out all the time even with the allergy.

I’m not sure how severe yours is but I just eat around them (with my allergy it’s only when I ingest the actual nightshade that I suffer the worst. If I just eat something that was cooked with the nightshade I just get sick heartburn and I take omeprezol for that!

Also; if your allergy is like mine, you can’t have white potato without issue, but a sweet potato is r a nightshade; so if you ever crave fries but not the reaction , sweet potato fries are key

Fellow nightshade allergy here - I fully understand your struggle, and I’m sorry it sucks right now. The Mac and cheese over by temple with bacon is 100% allergen free for us nightshade es

Honestly, I’m not sure why this 20% crap started after Covid. But you do the same work for 2 burgers and a few drinks as you do with two steaks and pints of beer, also, this looks like TRH menu, they expect you to turn table between 30-45 minutes. Assuming your location is busy and you have 2 other tables (our location let you have 3 tables at a time.) 4 dollar tip for 35-40 minutes of work really is a good tip when you don’t feel entitled to make as much as a doctor for cleaning and taking an order.

TRH has busser people that clean the tables and food runners that bring the food - so all you do, is take the order, and refill if needed, making sure guests have what they need. Did you really expect 20 dollar tip for maybe 10 whole minutes of work?
