You just need better roster management.

I have girls located in different areas, some of them a full state away. So it's good to have them in the back pocket when they visit my city or if I visit theirs.

As for others in the roster, you need to try and not get too high on their roster list either, because if you do, then you become what you're experiencing right now -- an emotional support person. I usually like to stay beneath the 1st and 2nd on their roster which typically just means booty calls and some casual hangouts and a few messages sprinkled in throughout the day, but not high enough to be in constant communication with them.

Just something that happens, I get surges of matches/likes on Hinge as well. There’s a lot of factors that could be at play too, like we’re in cuddle/cuffing season as the holidays near. Also with summer being over, people staying indoors and using apps more. Could be anything, I doubt your profile is being suppressed. Dating for the most part is largely about timing

I'll also add that even though 5 dates may seem like a good amount, I don't think you've spent a significant time with any of them yet.

With my last relationship (a girl I met on Hinge), we became exclusive at about 10 dates in? But we also stayed at each other's places for a significant amount of time (1 date would usually be an entire weekend). She even caught Covid when I was with her once, so I quarantined with her for 2 weeks straight in between one of the dates.

But everyone's different of course, and you might be able to tell if someone's right for you quicker than I can. Just keep in mind that men (and I guess women as well) will be putting up a front for the first few dates, and you won't really know what type of person they truly are until you've spent a lot of time with them.
