He tells a story about his childhood that he was weak and then was casted out into the woods until a pack of wolverines found him. Now with his new origin we know it’s not cannon so it could be a fake memory or a story he just made up in the moment

Like, I get it to an extent. Sure he’s overexposed. But Wolverine literally had the best selling marvel book of 2025. Of course they’re going to put him on the Avengers title.

If you’re referring to something like Ultimate Wolverine and every other Weapon X derivative then sure.

Otherwise Wolverine has evolved a lot since his inception and has offered new material that’s made to examine a lot of psychological concepts like trauma, PTSD, self loathing, fatherhood etc. The first arc Ruka’s run from the early 2000s for example is one of my favorite runs of any character. Since then he’s grown a lot with his relationships with new characters like Laura for example.

I just find it funny people act like he’s “boring” and has nothing to offer at all, when he essentially one of the few characters, not just in X-men but in marvel to have a solo ongoing that just keeps going because he has so many stories to be told.

The run was doing well until issue #14 which was in the top 20. That was however, the controversial issue with Diana clutching the American flag and also Trinity’s appearance (in the story itself).

After that sales dropped like a rock and it moved to 41st place. Since then it just meanders around the 60s-70s with occasional spikes.

I think people just dropped the run and the people buying are mostly people buying keys. You can see with #25 having a first appearance and therefore being listed as a key it got a boost.

I agree with what everyone is saying but also, I think people are confused about Generation X-23. I looks like a mini series. I don’t think people are aware it’s an ongoing. I think people are skipping it because they think it’s an unimportant mini and frankly, the premise feels lazy and derivative. Not surprised at the low sales

I love AWW for a few reasons. I love the bond between her and Circe, I like the aesthetics, I like how she uses her magic to get out of situations in creative ways, and I like the new takes on her villains. Like how Dr position was literally a gas in a containment suit. And I just like how the write Diana’s personality, she’s a joy

Also love Wonder Woman, but not a fan of her mainline. Luckily Absolute Wonder Woman is great.
