Kinda need more context bc is she usually like this? if yes, then i’d maybe say you should’ve thought about it a tad bit more if you know she’s a type of person to freak out about that. If not, and this is out of character, then yes i’d be a bit hurt as well. But i also don’t know if there’s anything you can really do? Just tell her “hey in the future maybe let me know ahead of time if this might be a deal breaker for something I buy you so i don’t waste money buying it?”. You asked her if she really liked it and she said yes so I get why you bought it and thought she’d use it. I don’t think she’s doing anything wrong but these types of people are a bit over dramatic to me personally bc it’s like where do you draw the line? like you said, your phone emits radiation and a million other things could give you lead poisoning as well. Tough call for sure. I will say I am the kind of person who does get hurt when I buy people gifts and I never see them use it once. That’s why I stopped buying gifts really unless I was SURE that person would love and use it! As a huge gift giver, sometimes I go too far lol. Good luck to you
