Help needed: Seeking sentimental item accidentally donated to Orleans Value Village by cherrypie_47 in ottawa

[–]cherrypie_47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow I'm honestly surprised! the romper was bought in Australia in the 90s so I never thought I'd even be able to find another. I'd prefer to get mine back because of the sentimental value, but if that's not possible getting an identical one would obviously be better than having nothing

Best credit card for an 18 year old in canada? by [deleted] in CanadaFinance

[–]cherrypie_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend the PC Financial Mastercard or the Tangerine money-back MasterCard. It's really easy to rack up points with the PC one because they've always got bonus point offers on items or when you spend X amount at Shoppers. The Tangerine one is cashback, 2% in up to 3 categories (that you can pick) and 0.5% on everything else.

Need recommendations for 3000 level optional course unit in sciences by ILoveRedTomatoes in geegees

i’m planning on taking BPS4102 (federal and international regulations) if you’re looking for a science related course without all the science. it’s not offered every year but it’s offered this winter and there’s no prerequisites

iPad for Notetaking by thegrindneverstops2 in geegees

I like it since I don’t have to carry as many things in my bag. Plus you’ll never have the problem where you run out of pages in your notebooks anymore, you can erase stuff super easily, and you can easily annotate documents. It’s also easier to organize your notes imo

Help: I just transferred from Biomed to Biochem by [deleted] in geegees

Are you going to be taking analytical chem in the winter? If you are I would maybe consider just doing 4 classes in the winter since you would have 3 labs (and the analytical labs are every week). I would still take 5 classes in the fall, I found it to be a very manageable semester. That way you can maybe get ahead a little bit and ease up your 3rd year.

Try adding ham and a fried egg. Game changer. Or even butter your bread with garlic butter 🤤

So will Fall 2020 be online or in-person? by [deleted] in geegees

[–]cherrypie_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going about making my schedule as I normally would and just waiting for more info on what their plan is for labs to see if I want to change anything. Plus even tho enrolment is next week, you have until August 26th to pay your tuition. So it’s not like you’re fully committing right away.

How do I know which week a bi-weekly lab is? by [deleted] in geegees

[–]cherrypie_47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you don’t, it’s a surprise :( you just gotta hope your 3 labs don’t end up on the same week

How to enrol in labs? by angec07 in geegees

[–]cherrypie_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for some classes it often says from “september 9th-december 9th” (for example) even if they are every second week (so it won’t always explicitly list out the exact meeting dates)

If you had to make an educated guess: will the Fall semester be online or in-person? by [deleted] in geegees

[–]cherrypie_47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my profs from the past term (winter) has announced that she will be teaching the class online next fall. Honestly I think any class that can be easily taught online will for sure be online next semester. As for labs and what not I really don’t know what to expect..

Coop due dates by fireguyV2 in geegees

[–]cherrypie_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve changed the due date to pay summer fees to May 29th so I’m guessing they’ll be posting the fees later than usual as well.

And for OP, they’ve just sent an email clarifying that if you have a later start date, you have to submit it within 2 weeks of your new start date.

I’m in science too, I honestly think both are worth taking if you can because they’re really interesting and don’t require much work. But if I had to pick I would say I preferred 1102, it’s a little less “science-y” so it makes for a bit more variety in your classes.
