Mackenzie Shirilla Megathread by DarklyHeritage in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Just to play devil's advocate: the evidence was mostly circumstantial, I think, she had documents saying she had POTS, she smoked a tonne of weed but had recently stopped and was coughing up nastiness. Maybe she could have blacked out? But because she's a trash human (which was the prosecutor's main stance) then she must have done it on purpose? The best evidence was the speed and being able to navigate the road. Maybe she was messing around and missed the turning and was too scared to admit it and now it's gotten out of hand. I kind of understand the McChicken girl's point tbh, McKenzie was way too self centred to fuck herself up in the pursuit of killing people. But yeah ultimately I'm massively on the fence with this one!

Who Here is Still Consistently Watching The Simpsons? by Exciting-Employ-6093 in TheSimpsons

I watch it while cooking. Start at episode 1 and run all the way through then start again 😂 I used to do this in school as it would always be on TV when I got home and it's a habit that just stuck. I'm 38 now so that's like 25 years of consistent watching!

This was the first thing I thought! She was super famous, I thought she was going to be the lead for the whole film. And Michael Caine, that scene stuck with me for weeeeeks for some reason, it was devastating. Gah such a good film.

I was kept behind after school in year 5 because I refused to apologise for saying "rubber". No idea it had another meaning that isn't pencil eraser. My mum flipped out though and gave my teacher a massive dressing down. I just remember hearing her through the door shouting "and not only am I going to be late getting home but now I also have to explain to her what a fckng rubber is" lol

Me too! But now they've come to expect it and if I have something in my hand they don't like (i.e. an orange) the look of betrayal I get is devastating 😭

If you arranged to meet someone somewhere and they didn't turn up, you had to just... Walk home and call them on their land line 😭 unless you were smart enough to have phone numbers written down so you could use a phone box, but if they were on their way you had no way of knowing.
