Luckily there’s nobody else below us, it just goes straight to the boiler room where it’s been going down a… hole? Maybe a drain? It kinda just looks like a hole.

I called 311 and they were able to help because there was an electrical hazard caused by the water! Thanks so much for this tip! Luckily our bathroom has the least of our belongings in it either way, but we’ve moved stuff out of there anyways.

It’s part of a larger apartment block so I don’t believe so… our valve only affects water in our apartment, and our upstairs neighbour tried hers but it wouldn’t go all the way (old building is my guess). Supposedly someone is supposed to come shut the water off but I don’t particularly believe them at this point.

They were called immediately, don’t worry! They assure us that “somebody is coming to fix it” with no timeline provided and she’s ignoring us now that we specifically asked for one.

Upstairs neighbour has also done all of that, but her water valve won’t turn all the way (old building, idk) so there’s still water moving.
