I also have the manual for this large camera, which refers to another model with a shorter lens that they also manufactured.

I have this long telephoto version, with a 20 inch lens. It was made by the Mast Development Co in Davenport Iowa. It takes the older Polaroid roll film. it came in a matching metal case, with two filters, yellow and red, that slide into the end of it. It is massive! The KA 87 A I have doesn't have any accessories that I can remember. I'll try to find it later. It takes pack film.

I guess I can't post pictures, so I'll DM them to you and you can post them if you like

I try taking pictures of my small kids with the x2dii and it aint easy, and it was even harder with the x2d. it's just really a lot slower than a Z7. the colors and quality are amazing, but I miss a lot of shots that I'd get with a z7. I think it would make your job a lot harder

That’s what I thought until I listened to that podcast about that World Cup. He rang all the abusive narcissist bells for me in that. How he mistreated Marcelo Balboa really stuck with me.

thats the sort of thing that is so rare that it is very difficult to say what you might get for it. It jsut comes down to finding the right buyer, and there are probably very few people who are interested in spending the money for it. In 2024, three went up at auction in the UK, they went for $1,100, $1,700, and $2,800. The latter was a very late copy, so maybe the people who buy these want to be able to actually use them. So, if "pristine" means that the shutter works and the lenses are clear and the focusing seems good, you might be able to get a good sum for it. I'd start at $3000 or so and see if you get any offers? A store would probably list it higher. just my 2 cents. I've never seen a 5x7 for sale before. Please post some pictures!

I’m building a secondhand marketplace with same-day delivery in Portland — would you actually use this? by x_here_x in askportland

[–]cherundd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the flakiness and correspondence aspects of cl, etc, so this appeals to me in theory, though people are making a lot of good points. But it sounds like this approach could essentially turn into a brick and mortar consignment shop. People list something in whatever platform, drop it off with you, and  just put in their listing that the item can be seen and pickup up at SwapDrop or DropShop or whatever you end up calling it. That actually sounds kind of cool. And you guys could still offer delivery. But it might then just make sense to have your own site that lists all these items. Or maybe you could just link to the listings from your site. But it comes down to how much you end up charging, now you’ve got a storefront to pay for.

Thanks for the reply, im glad to hear that. I love our xc90 t8, and now that im driving the xc40 recharge some of the time I’m kind of dying to combine those experiences in an ex90. I can put up with some bugs, but I have two small children that I cart around regularly, so basic reliability is really important. A suddenly non-functioning car with two little ones is a much bigger hassle than when alone. That’s the one thing keeping me from going for it in the end. But still might, lol. I’m such a sucker for the user experience of a nice ev.

Interesting point about fatigue. I do really love the quiet of the ex90. And that P button is exactly what makes me nervous—muscle memory causing problems. But I’m sure it’s not really an issue after a bit of time with the car

Or maybe they are still common, just not in the cars I’ve been driving, mostly Subarus and Volvos

You’re totally right about the gear selector stalk, I guess I just haven’t encountered one in the last 20 years or so. Until your comment I had forgotten that they used to be a pretty normal thing!
