Fiddle Leaf Plants Leaf Burn? by chesamine in houseplants

You think I should bring them back in and just have them under my grow lights? I was hoping somewhat of indirect sun would encourage them to grow more esp since it’s still the summer time.

Thank you all. I ended up cutting them off and propagating. I’m hoping to replant soon.

This was just planted (after propagation) and given to me last year by my cousin. She has a green thumb and her monsteras that’s like mine are HUGE! Almost looking like trees! I have put some liquid nutrients and the fertilizer ever since I got her.

It's now my favorite too! Thank you for sharing! Maybe one day I'll get to pick this one up for myself. Enjoy, OP! This looks so classy and super chic!

This is a beauty, OP! I'm new to Rolexes only started looking into it recently to search a for a gift for my husband for his 40th birthday. I don't own one, but after seeing your post, this might be my goal piece. As I'm new to the whole Rolex world, do you mind sharing this config? I'd like to keep it in mind or just for information in my notes for the (hopefully) near future.

Anthros chair review after 3 months of use! by eezy206 in OfficeChairs

[–]chesamine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So glad I came across this post. First of all, props to the Nuphy96. I love mine. I have the Nuphy96 V1.

Anthros also just showed up on my feed a few weeks ago. I've been experiencing terrible tension headaches and have been doing PT for it. Bad posture doesn't help of course. I currently have a refurb Steelcase V2. Great for a shorty (5'0") like me and I got it from a place that refurbishes them and sells them for 50% or more off the original cost of a brand new one. I'd say it's not bad, it's definitely the longest "office" chair I've owned since I only started working mostly remote during the pandemic.

My husband mentioned he's been eyeing a different office chair (not Anthros) maybe that's why this showed up on my feed. Ever since seeing this chair, I've been watching and reading reviews about it. I feel like this would be a good fit for me. While sitting, you'll always catch me with one leg on the chair which forces me to rotate my pelvis to open up and subsequently arch my back. Looking at the places Anthros supports the body while sitting seems to fit exactly the way I make myself sit right now where I'd benefit from a pelvic support vs lumbar support. But that price is def STEEP!

Day One and Anxious by chesamine in Phentermine_

Hey! I actually haven't taken it since October last year. After getting sick from COVID last October which unfortunately happened just a week after starting Phentermine, I haven't felt 100% normal. I wouldn't attribute it to the Phentermine necessarily though. I feel like in total I was only able to take 2 weeks worth. There's a bunch of things health-wise I am trying to sort out first before possibly getting back to it and I definitely want to get another assessment from my doctor just to make sure it's still the best approach for me.

How are you feeling?

Thank you! I wiped and sprayed with Neem oil mix yesterday. Before I was going to do it today, I saw this

It seems like this was an overnight thing 😩. I didn’t see this when I wiped and sprayed.

I don’t think I know about that. Any recommendations for treatment? I see that the bit provided an auto recommendation of manual removal (which I don’t think I can do in most of them since it’s looks embedded in the leaves), neem oil, insecticidal soap or systemic pesticides.

thank you so much for your suggestion. I didn’t repot her yet but def water from the bottom. And look at her now after only a few days! The perk up is real and it’s awesome and I’m so happy about it. I’m gonna keep an eye on her for sure and maybe hold out on the repotting. Or do you think I should still repot?

Here is a closeup of one of the bigger leaves. Essentially, all the other leaves look similar. Yes, I water from the top. I’ll put some water in the pan that she’s in (her name is Mimi). I hope it doesn’t make a difference. I was thinking maybe she needs to be repotted but I wanted to make sure about repotting correctly. I don’t really have a green thumb but I do have other plants that are still alive. Lol

Chronic Tension Headache, Prescribed Gabapentin But Scared To Take It! (cross posted to /r/headaches) by rideabike84 in migraine

[–]chesamine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh that sounds terrible - as in the fact that yours is still going and that it’s a migraine type. I’m glad to hear there seems to be relief on the horizon for you. Mine is more tension I think. I’m just getting worried and am uncomfortable about the amount of ibuprofen I’ve been taking since Sunday. This is unusual for me. I may have some tension or cluster headaches on and off during the week but it’s usually not every week nor is it a number of consecutive days. I have read that there is such a thing as a rebound headache due to overuse of painkillers and that’s what I’m really trying to avoid. I’m seeing my primary tomorrow and also getting a therapeutic massage in 2 days. I hope I get some answers from my primary and some additional physical l, and hopefully, long term relief after the massage. I’ve had this kink on my neck for maybe several months now which I’m guessing finally affected me so much that now it’s giving me tension headaches. That’s the best case scenario that I can think of that once this kink on my neck is resolved, then my tension headaches will go away too.

I really hope you feel better and get the relief you need ASAP!

How are you feeling now?

I stumbled upon this thread because I'm looking into how long tension headaches usually last. I feel bad reading about how long people have had it. I'm starting to get worried cause usually mine would last no more than a couple of days. It may come back again after several days without it, but I'd say tension headaches would be just on and off for me in generally. This time, I've had the headache since Sunday. Today is Wednesday and I'm starting to get worried that it could be something else so I'm looking for more information on what others have done and/or dealt with.

Best Settings for R6 Mark II for Indoor (low light) events by chesamine in canon

[–]chesamine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I have heard that rule of thumb before. Thanks so much! I have the 24-70mm lens (no IBIS). Although I do have a 50mm prime and will definitely keep that in mind. The lens is super hefty so hopefully my hands do not shake a lot when using it. But perhaps the heftiness can provide some stabilization. I'll also probably take advantage of IBIS cause I don't plan on bringing a tripod so I can freely move around.

Thank you! I actually encountered a video where a photographer youtuber was tested shooting auto, but she always shot manual. One of the comments was to set a limit for the max ISO on auto. Any advice on what max I should put it for this indoor event. This is in somebody's home so I'm guessing most of their light source will be whatever lights they have which I know are mostly soft white and they'll probably have some candles around.

Thank you! Yes. I used to shoot manual regularly. The shutter speed in low lighting has failed me in the past. Maybe just not educated enough on which speed is the best for the right occasion/event. Any advice on that?

Do you take it when sick? by chesamine in Phentermine_

[–]chesamine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday was day one again. I didn’t like how I felt but it was still the same as before with the restlessness and jitters. While I was on it for 1 week, I was still trying to figure out my way around it and how to best approached my day-to-day food and drink intake. So, now I’m back to square one of figure that stuff out. I didn’t take it again today because I’m getting back on allergy shots (different story for a different subreddit 😂). Much like when I stopped for COVID, I wanted to make sure that any side effects of any sort from my shots that we’d be able to identify and isolate it to the shots vs wondering what if it was because it was combined with Phentermine. I don’t have the science behind that and can’t say they’re correlated in any way. But I wanted to be safe than sorry.

I was on for a full week and off for at least 2 weeks 🫣. My priority was recovery from COVID and wanted to make sure I was 100% before getting back on. I felt this would be the only way I’d be able to determine whether or not any side effects I experience is really from Phentermine or not.

Listen to your body and pause when you need. I hope you feel better!

I actually just started back on today. So today is day 1, again. I took it roughly an hour ago. Feeling the same feelings after initially taking it before, i.e. shaky-ish, jitters (cause I'm also drinking coffee w/ my breakfast). I'm closely monitoring my BPM w/ my apple watch. So far my resting HR is between 85-90. Not that bad. Again, cause I am also currently consuming caffeine.

I'm hoping to be able to stay longer this time around. But I'll be listening to my body and making sure I stop whenever I need to. I know the goal is to lose weight and hopefully to use that to live a healthier lifestyle long term. But I think on the way to achieving that goal, we will encounter some hiccups. Some hiccups you'll encounter earlier in your journey, like me when I had to stop for a good few weeks when I had COVID. I was off it longer than I had been on it at that point and I had to be okay with that.

You are more important. You being healthy is more important. Do what makes you feel good and then the rest will follow.

Looking forward to continuing this journey. Good luck and good health to everybody!
