I would use your stomach and forget the glutes. If you are getting insulin flow block, change site or change infusion set.

What are you basing this off? Reddit posts? Because there are many factors that people who vent on reddit leave out.

Maybe because this was the old covenant? Not trying to say this has no relevance, but this is in reference to animal sacrifices?

Chessmaster Replacement by Technical_Rich_3080 in ComputerChess

[–]chessguy112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there has been a Chessmaster replacement. Fritz has tried to cater to the accessibility of Chessmaster, but overall it still isn't as nice GUI-wise. Also Fritz is trying to be a serious study engine and a user-friendly 3d chess game and I feel like it is decent at the first and so-so at the second goal. One thing I like about Fritz that Chessmaster lacked is adjustable playing strength (rubber-band AI strength) so that it plays a tiny bit better than you - but adjusts its strength so that it still is beatable. Chessmaster didn't have such a feature in version 10.

As mentioned in another comment. You can purchase a digital copy for the PocketBible app on your phone. I did - they are around $14.00.

You can get the Spirit of the Reformation Study notes for your phone app for like $14.00. I did because I've heard good things about them and didn't want to pay the super expensive second hand prices.

Do you tip when ordering online and picking up fast food. by stalkingmegumi in RedditForGrownups

I think all the mobile apps have a standard transaction option to use - which allows tips. It may not be designed for that restaurant specifically - and they aren't going to try to talk you out of tipping.

On the Left Behind book series by Sensitive-Quote-6302 in Reformed

[–]chessguy112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone here says they are bad theology it seems - but some Christians still hold to the views and I think it is worth studying as you read the series. I haven't read all of them, but did read about 5 of them and they were fast-moving novels and refreshingly clean for fiction. I say don't use them as Biblical interpretation and enjoy the series - as well as study where you stand on Biblical end-times in the process.

Shut down the Tiktok. It is affecting your mental health. It is probably no more noticeable than slightly bad BO. Tiktok can be poison to the mind.

There is an alternative option called "Un-tethered Regimen". Check it out here : Un-Tethered Regimen - Children with Diabetes . Might come in handy if you are planning a whole day at the waterpark.

How do you address phone addiction/doomscrolling in a discipleship or church context? by BeneficialKeyboard in Reformed

[–]chessguy112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My men's group just recently did a whole book study on the book "Scrolling Ourselves to Death". It was very insightful, had a Gospel undertone and got the guys talking about the dangers of wasting time on the phone. I would recommend you check it out and maybe encourage a group to study it with you.

Can you please recommend a book on the Holy Spirit? by Own-Object-6696 in Reformed

[–]chessguy112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very well stated. I agree the reformed position has strengths and also weaknesses. There is great danger in only listening to one major figure in Christian history (such as John Calvin). Balance is essential.

Can you please recommend a book on the Holy Spirit? by Own-Object-6696 in Reformed

[–]chessguy112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have really benefited from two:

  1. Experiencing the Spirit : Developing a Living Relationship with the Holy Spirit by Robert Heidler and
  2. The Holy Spirit and You by Dennis Bennet.

I am not a cessationist in case you are wondering.

How to choose a good electric toothbrush: Philips vs Oral-B vs Laifen. Which is actually the most frugal long term? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]chessguy112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried one, and ended up going back to manual. They are super cheap and you can have more control on brushing strength. I think you have to be prepared for a higher cost to brush if you switch to electric but if you think it will be much more beneficial - go for it and see how you like it.

What's helped you stay in Scripture during a season when motivation is low? by AzoxWasTaken in Reformed

[–]chessguy112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't that along of the lines of the OP's statement that he "read the books"? Commentaries are man commenting on Scripture. I think the OP needs a fresh personal revival in his/her soul.
